I'm new, why does GMMK get so much hate?
When the first GMMK keyboard appeared, people were pretty positive about it. It was the first easily-available fully modular keyboard and it was relatively inexpensive. When Glorious introduced compact and TKL models, it was all fine. When the GMMK Pro (with the knob) was announced, people were exci

Which keyboard is criminally underrated in your opinion?
"Criminally?" I don't know. But the GMMK Pro can be had for a pretty cheap price these days, lacks their obnoxious branding, at least anywhere except the bottom, and it can be flashed to QMK/VIA. I think it's a pretty good looking hunk of aluminum. At $50 or less for barebones, not a bad board at al

Keycaps cost more than the keyboard, but I’m not mad about it
I prefer it that way sometimes lol means I got a steal on the keyboard. For example my $20 GMMK Pro Barebones and my $16 Keychron V10 Max. Everything is more expensive than the board at that point, which is a win :)

I'm new, why does GMMK get so much hate?
I have the GMMK pro (Ver. 1), had it for about 4 and a half years and use it daily. It’s the first keyboard I ever built and have had zero issues with it. Truly, it’s what got me into keyboards in the first place. As others have mentioned, it’s mainly because of the price and features it offers comp

Buying new keyboard
GMMK Pro is shit in 2026 even though it was one of the best back in 2022. Look at Evo75 if you’re looking into that sort of budget.

Keyboard recommendations
120 percent or 120 keys? o.O Full size is what u describe - (normal keyboard alpha-numeric + fkeys top row + arrow and function keys then + numpad on right side) And u can get a 80% (which is what I believe the wooting 80 is) he, he = hall effect (magnetic switches, NOT mechanical, but most magnetic

Looking for a best mechanical keyboard 2026
I've got a Q6 Max, standard build which I've been surprised by. But if I want bang-per-buck I'd go for the ND104 every time. My go-to is a Glorious GMMK 3 Pro with pc plate, KeyGeek Y2 switches and MT3 Susuwatari keycaps 👌

Tkl wired keeb suggestions
Been down this exact rabbit hole mate - that budget and those requirements are pretty solid for what you're after. The Keychron K8 Pro might be your best bet, ticks most of your boxes with the hot swap, decent build quality and you can get it with ISO layout through their EU store Silent switches ar

Is there any place here from where I can get a custom keyboard built?
There is a lot of budget options now. But I’d recommend a gmmk pro, you only need a switch and keycaps there to complete it. I’d also recommend a linear switch to get that thocc sound. There’s a lot of youtube vids on it. You might want to watch. Edit: There are switches that are pre-lubed that you

Got told to buy an item for 150$ as a gift from my distant grandmother how did i do?
For that price, it's fine. I have a GMMK Pro, and no, they're not amazing, and it absolutely needs some mods to make it work properly, but for $50 or less, it's still a much, much better prospect than a Royal Kludge or Aula or some other plastic piece of crap that noobs these days rave about.
