Slow Wi-Fi on new 500/50 plan, but wired speed is fine. Is my modem the bottleneck?
The router you have is 802.11ac, or WiFi 5. What you're seeing is pretty typical for a router like yours, given its internal antenna and the walls in between. The 1300 Mbps number is an overall theoretical, not a per-device speed, so your PC is completing on that pipe with all other WiFi devices in

Does anyone have experience with Wyyerd fiber internet?
I've had the $80 600mbps Wyyerd plan for over a year now in Surprise. Easily would recommend them over Cox and CenturyLink. It's faster, more reliable and cheaper. I was with Cox for over a decade and grew accustomed to paying for 500mbps while only getting half of 2/3 of that speed. With Wyyerd you

Need Advice with my Setup and Network.
Hey everyone. I am struggling to get good connection through my home and was hoping anyone had some advice. For context I live in a 1200 sqft 2-bedroom apartment.
I have 1GB plan through google webpass, the fiber runs into the master bedroom where I have connected to a Google Nest WiFi Pro 6E. Tha

First Time Networking
So I decided to take a big leap and network my home and it has been pretty fun. Waiting for an enclosure to arrive and a few more things. Here are some things I learned.
Tools: I first started out with some generic crimper from Microcenter cause it was there and available so I gave it a chance but

6 vs 6E
Ok, so, I'm not sure what you mean by "6 and 6E" in this context. 6E is just "WiFi version 6 (802.11ax), but in the 6GHz band", so Nest WiFi Pro supports WiFi 6 in all three bands, making it "6 and 6E" I guess? But, I would caution against trying to rely on the 6GHz mesh interconnect outside a singl

Looking for an AP recommendation for my room.
Don't overthink it- get a cheap eero or any Google nest Wifi pro which all have one free port on back for your needs. The Ethernet goes into one and your PC goes into other.

Would you buy Google Nest Pro 6e again?
I installed 1 Google Nest Pro 6e today replacing an old wifi speedify router that had wifi 6. I only bought it because it was on sale for $99. Its been a good experience so far and its perfect for my needs in my 1100 SQ FT apartment.

Nest Wifi Pro 6E or just Nest Wifi?
I have 1 Gig connection with the internet provider and 4 Google Wifis (with Excellent and Good connection tests) spreading on a long ranch home where the router is on one side, and my home office is on the other end.
When I connect my laptop with a CAT6 cable to the Wifi puck at another far end of

New Nest WiFi Pro 6e vs Amplifi Alien? Any thoughts?
I would really like to get 2 Amplifi Alien's to cover my home but I spotted the Nest WiFi Pro today. I know it's not available to the general public yet but has anyone here had experience with Nest Wifi in the past that they could share?
I like the fact that the Nest Pro is 6e but are they any limi

Google Nest WiFi Pro 3rd generation is slower than 2nd generation
I had the nest pro for a couple of years. Frontier sent me an eero 7 pro and I have a 2800sq ft 2 story. It's on the bottom floor in an office and my speed and network stability have been solid since I put it in last week. I had google wifi before the nest and I always liked the idea of the mesh but
