Aaaand Google continues artificially separating PW2, PW3 and PW4... Announcing X years of software support is a great headline, then omit the part where you should say these updates will arbitrarily include features or not.

Meanwhile my pixel watch 2 was playing up since August but because I only put in a support ticket two weeks after the warranty expired Google told me to get fucked.

I dunno man, my Pixel Watch 4 battery life is like a day better than the Pixel Watch 2, even when I had Wear OS 6 on the PW2. I'd understand if you were comparing the PW3 with the PW4 but this is straight copium.

It would be helpful to understand what metrics you feel are not accurate. At least on my pw2, they have been quite good. It's working right now for me (PW2, P8P) but I'm pretty sure Google announced that they are retiring Google fit which is a shame but to be honest but I use Fitbit more now.
