GoPro to lay off 145 workers — nearly a quarter of its workforce

Until recently, the last GoPro I had was a Hero 2. I bought a 13 and it was a giant leap compared to the old camera. A lot of resolution and frame rate options. You can control the camera from your phone. I haven't had it very long, but I am enjoying the upgrade. If you're thinking about it, I'd go

Underwater Camera Suggestions?

Insta360 X5 is the popular pick for 360 degree video. I think people prefer it to the GoPro Max2 in low light GoPro Hero 13 for straight ahead video. Could also save some money with the Hero 12 but I hear the 13 is better and well under budget Costco has a nice Insta360 bundle for 550 and a Hero13 b

What’s the best budget action camera that isn’t total junk?

I haven't bought a cheap action camera since like 2018, when I got a bunch of $30 SooCoo C30s off of eBay. They were pretty decent cheap action cameras for their time, but I don't know what the budget market is like these days. It seems like after the trade war with China was started the really inex

DJI or GoPro? And which one?

GoPro provides very slightly better image quality and has a more robust suite of options for things like timelapses and lens add-ons, but the DJI products are better in pretty much every other way, especially when it comes to battery life, low light performance, and not shutting down when they get h

Small camera for horse riding

360 cameras have better stabilization than regular ones, but also more expensive and image quality is a bit lower. As of regular cameras, any GoPro Hero 11-13 Black all are a good choice, but not sure if the stabilization will keep up with horse riding. Avoid GoPro Minis at all cost.

Stumpjumpin’ on slingshot at ride rock creek

I went Hero 7 > Hero 11 a few years ago, and that was a substantial improvement, but primarily had it chin mounted on a full face. I tried the Chesty mount when wearing a half shell, but even with the straps pulled as tight as they could it flopped around too much, and the GoPro stabilization couldn

Looking for easy underwater camera

I have the SeaLife Micro 3.0. It is a super easy camera to use, and takes great photos. As long as you don't need to transfer your media immediately. The WiFi transfer capability is ABYSMAL. Took me almost 2 hours to transfer less than 30 photos and about 3 minutes worth of video. Transfer using the

Trying to get my gopro hero 3 white edition to connect to the app, update failed!

Hopefully the channel can provide the help you need, if not, then hopefully some cheap laughs. Sorry I can't give more detailed help, but the oldest GoPro I have now are a couple of Hero 4 cameras and they follow the newer update proceedure. Also, your camera is pretty darn old, you really should sp

For people who bought an action camera in the last year… has it actually been worth it?

So I have 3. I have a GoPro hero 10 since new. Got the insta360 x4 when it came out. And recently picked up an ace pro 2. I mountain bike with my fiancée and daughter so we now have 3 different cameras we use which is nice. The insta360 x4 I mainly bought for our hikes and my daughter enjoys using i

What type of camera should I get?

Honestly, despite you saying you want a 'real' camera, with these specifications I would consider getting a action Camera. My first camera was a GoPro Hero 9 which I got back in 2023 as a portable waterproof camera before upgrading to a canon R50 later that year. Regardless of what brand or model yo
