8-10 years out of a laptop is still quite incredible. My HP spectre x360 had a screen failure within a year, warrantied, same screen failure within a year. Within 2 years it’s slow and sluggish.

Dell managed to acknowledge their error in abandoning XPS, with a comeback. When will HP do the same with the Spectre x360 line?
Even the last spectre x360 was disappointing to me. Bring back the gem-cut corners!

Current 2024 g14 user. With this recent price drop, does the 2025 blade 14 seem more worthwhile?
Every gaming laptop is frying the battery and It will bloat at some point had it once with my Blade 14 (2016), a HP Spectre x360 and a MacBook Air M3. It's the same issue for all of them, a lot of heat in a small closed body. If you use your laptop stationary think about using it without the battery

Which "expensive" laptops are worth the money?
I can say do not get the Hp spectre x360 or whatever it is named the latest model. My dell 9570 runs better.

Is asahi viable? and does it have wide options for distros?
