Roomba maker iRobot files for bankruptcy, sells itself to Chinese company

I just moved from Roomba (i7+) to Roborock (Qrevo CurvX) a couple weeks ago and still have two i7+'s running (or trying to run) on the other levels of my home. In almost every way, the Roborock makes the Roomba feel like it's a hundred years old. In other ways, likely related to stupid patents, the

Qrevo Edge S5A: worth it? opinions?

I have both a QRevo CurvX and a Qrevo Edge S5A so I think I’m pretty well qualified to advise! I don’t have experience with Dreame, however. I’m in the US and paid $859 for the CurvX (Black Friday) and $480 for the S5A (Christmas Sale fo $600 - $120 in Roborock points they were giving away like cand

What does the "Start cleaning" button do?

Thanks! 😄 There's shortcuts to programs? Damn, this app is very detailed and powerful! My previous robot was an iRobot roomba i7, and it was good, if a bit lost in navigation, but this one just... Wow. There is literally no comparison!

Robot Vacuum Mop Recommendations

Coming from an i7+, honestly almost any modern flagship is going to feel massively better. Based on your list, I’d probably narrow it to the Dreame X60 Max Complete or Narwal Freo Z Ultra. The X60 is the stronger all-around pick for obstacle avoidance, edge cleaning, hair handling, and general “set

What have you moved to?

I bought a used Roomba i7+ for 50 bucks. Cleaned the hell out of it, and replaced all wearable parts. No bullshit it's the best little vacuum I've owned. It does a great job of not getting stuck and it has a camera so it maps the house.

At this point what is the best robot vacuum for a busy family that hates cleaning? Feels like an allergy survival question

so i got the roomba i7+ a while back and honestly, it’s been a game changer for me. like, the self-emptying thing is great, but you still get that dust cloud when it dumps, ugh. but the suction is solid and it navigates around furniture like a pro. it’s also got a pretty decent app for scheduling an

Syncing brava mop to an existing roomba map

Unfortunately, the Braava will still need to do a mapping round. My Roomba i7 has a "mop after vacuuming" function, but it only activates the Braava after the vacuuming task is complete.

L40 Ultra poor performance

Dreame Support wasted a lot of my time telling me to reboot, reset, etc. Then they ended up replacing the vacuum, which initially worked marginally better than the old one (software versions were the same), but later on reverted back to working the same as the old one. I have a weekday schedule that
