I keep a JBL Charge speaker playing thunderstorm white noise off of YouTube next to my head. The bass is pretty good with that speaker, so it kills outside sounds nicely. Also construction earplugs in my ears.

Anything is an upgrade over tv speakers. New homeowner budget..... you will figure it out. Hell even my JBL charge 4 would bump that room real nice.

I honestly wouldn't even buy a wireless speaker anymore unless it's a JBL. My charge 4 has lasted me for 4 years, and I abuse the thing. I’m late, but I’m going to hijack this thread with some of my findings to help people out. If you’re listening to wonky shit like Tape B/Liquid Stranger AND hard shit like Excision/Wooli/Kai Wachi, the JBL flip lineup does not deliver well. Minimum you want a JBL Charge 6. The flip sounds OKAY, but

i just tried JBL Flip 7 and i am wowed. Sound is full and vocals are not drowned out by bass. I like this more than Motion 300 which has clarity but it is thinner and not as full. Charge 6 is full but more bass heavy and drowns out vocals. chatgpt confirms this. Looks like I am keeping Flip 7 Flip 7

Yeah there are definitely bugs for sure. I have a 15 Pro Max and I can’t use my JBL Charge Speaker without the music cutting out. Not matter what service I use. Even if it’s a downloaded playlist on my phone with the internet shut off. Cuts out and is choppy. I wanna smash something when it happens.
