Upgrade suggestion for solo singer/guitarist
Ok, with that information, I'd advise to skip the Mackie Thump Go speakers. While a decent pair of plug-in 8" PA speakers might perform as needed, I think the lower output of the Thump Go's will be a downgrade from what you have. This is also similar to the JBL EON One Compact 8" speakers. EV's Quic

Best speaker for garage sessions and busking
QSC CB10 I've been waiting to test one of them myself as well. I also own a JBL Eon one compact because I needed something before the Everse had come out and don't want to buy a Bose unit. The Everse's are night and day compared to the JBL of course. The one thing I was disappointed about on the QSC

Small portable amp good for effects pedals
There are plenty of small battery power PA options. JBL EON one Compact, Electrovoice Everse 8 and Bose S1 Pro are just three options I have really liked the sound of. Mackie makes the Thump Go too as another option that is okay but I feel like it gets a bit bass heavy for me to be completely happy

Looking for recommendations small rechargeable acoustic/vocal amp
There are many options right now. Depending on your budget, how inputs you need and how heavy an amp you can handle. Here is a list of battery powered acoustic amps I've used over the years along with their pros and cons: 1.) Everse 8 - small and lightweight but very loud with a clean and clear soun

Mini PA just for amplifying vocals?
The best 'mini PA' we've used in our acoustic duo (one guitar, two vocals) is the Electro-Voice EV30M with the built-in mixer. Having the subwoofer/tower speaker combo makes for the best sound you can get other than a full blown PA system. Super portable and easy to setup/tear down and move. For a t

Amp suitable for vdrums and bass guitar?
We got a JBL Eon One Compact - it's pretty nice. (Although I've nothing to compare with other than my DT-770Ms and DT-770Pro headphones - so a bit different!!)

Alternative to Studio Monitors?
What size was it though? If it was a set of 15s, with 18 inch subs then off course its too much. Thats why I put 8-12s there, as it is dependent on room size. My brother has a pair of JBL EON One Compacts (8 inch) and they work great for his small liviing room. He then adds a single 15 inch sub when

NEED YOUR SPEAKER RECOMMENDATIONS!
You are really talking about two different types of speaker... Active Monitors for practice You want active monitors (generally) for at home practice. Rokit KRK's are a common and solid choice. They are reasonably priced and the second hand market is full of them. They carry good bass. I would perso

Speakers for Pop-Up Parties
JBL EON One Compact or Bose S1 Pro+, in stereo pair they can output a decent amount into the crowd (make sure to use a speaker stand to place the speaker just above the head of the crowd). I own the JBL EON One Compact and have used the Bose S1 Pro+. JBL EON One Compact: Sound: Low end frequencies d
