Why are LSX II $1500 on their site and only $500 at my local Costco?
When would you even need that? Plugging in an aux cable? I need it at my computer desk with a sub-out port for my still-in-box Kanto sub8. I’m also considering the Kanto ORA4 which are a bit cheaper, but probably a lower tier product anyway. $350 vs $500.

My experience with KEF LSX II LT
The app kinda sucks, and in general I don't recommend people buy KEF's active speakers due to that and quality control issues they've had with previous gens of the LSX and LS50W. As much as I like KEF passive speakers, I don't trust their track record yet on active hardware. They get quite a bit lou

Smallish PC Speakers?
Budget: Adam d3v, Kanto ora series(with sub or they sound boomy), Fiio sa1, Fiio sp3 (with EQ and a sub it's a killer) , edifer m60, m90 are good options. Below 200$ : edifer mr4, mr3. Slightly bigger: kali lpunf(so far best balanced sound), kef budget line up Audiophile/pro: get a good passive spea

Narrowed it down to these 6 speakers, whats your pick?
I haven't listened to the Kanto ORA4 and ORAM. I prefer the Kanto TUK over the Kantu Yu6. I would avoid the Edifiers as the 1700bt are less than 100usd where I'm at. Feels like a scam if you purchase it for more than 200usd.

Studio monitors- worth it?
I went down this path recently with my FP30x. What I learned is you need to spend a good amount of money on a good size set of speakers (8" ideally) to really get markedly improved sound quality. I bought a set of Kanto Ora 4s because then I could use them with my PC after I upgraded the piano in a

Active speakers for desktop computer, laptop and TV? Help me choose.
Bluetooth speakers add latency to YouTube, movies and TV. Seems to work with headphones on some TV but even there connecting to Bluetooth speakers is not. Wi-fi is better than Bluetooth, particularly uPnP, DNLA and Chromecast. Apple users like Airplay as it as simple as Bluetooth but far better. USB

Are the Kanto YU4/YU6 Speakers Magnetically Shielded?
Thanks for the thorough reply and the information. I've tested the YU and YU4, because the ORA-series were just too expensive for me. However, unfortunately I still can see color distortion on my screen... it's admittedly quite small, but it is there. The problem is, I have to put the speakers reall

What do I need to setup PianoTeq with digital piano and external speakers?
The trick there would be to get one with 5-pin DIN MIDI ports, and go out of your keyboard into that. Now, the only USB cable is from the iPad to the audio interface. Any suggestions of something like this? I had looked before and options seem limited. To your point, would the audio interface then s

Getting my hands on a JVC TM-R9U later this week. I'm completely new to CRT gaming, but I'm looking for an explanation on how to wire up my PS1 to this, with the best possible quality.
I only know of one company that makes magnetically shielded speakers in the modern day and that is Kanto with their ORA speakers, and they're not exactly cheap, about $300-400 for the pair. For cheaper magnetically shielded options you can go with vintage computer speakers from the 80s and 90s, or y
