Bedroom setup KEF LS50 Meta vs Wireless II
If youre okay w passives, that is generally a more versatile route for future upgrades or repairs. Kef software is reportedly iffy as well. I can vouch for wiim software and have the ls50 metas

Just Jumping In
So basically, you've got the Wiim Amp Ultra setting the bar for price/performance for $530 USD (watch for a sale during Amazon Spring Prime Days later this month), with the next step up being a Wiim Ultra for $330 (watch for the sale), paired with a Buckeye Hypex NCx252MP for $625. The next upgrade

LSX II LT near field sub recs?
IMHO, KEF's subwoofers tend to be overpriced for what they offer. I'd recommend something from SVS or Rythmik, or if you want to stay truly in budget, RSL. I run an RSL Speedwoofer 10e with LS50 Metas and it's...fine? I wouldn't mind more, but my wife would 😁.

LSX II → LS50 Wireless II upgrade? Better option around $1700 USD / $2400 CAD for music in a 150 sq ft room?
Not convinced of which? I have owned LSXII, LS50, Q Concerto, and WiiM products and think that’s exactly the right combo to consider. The KEF app sucks for real DSP control. WiiM gives you 10-band PEQ and even their own room correction software. If you want to add a sub you can time-align it with Wi

Best looking bookshelf speakers under €600 for a 17m² room?
For passives your idea of KEF LS50 Meta is great, but also search up B&W 705 S2, Sonus Faber Venere 2.0

KEF Q150 + Marantz PM6007 vs KEF LSX ii
I think the primary benefit you would appreciate with that switch would be the improvement in volume within a relatively large space. the LSX II are a great-sounding speaker for near field, but you are probably pushing them hard in a room that size. the flipside is that I think the LSX II has somewh

My little setup
I've been very impressed with my Oberon 3s. I "downgraded" from KEF LS50 Metas and a KC62 sub to just the Oberons and the reality is that the wide dispersion and generous bass response of the speakers alone are just way more enjoyable for my typical ambient, off-axis listening. On-axis midfield list

KEF overrated?
I like my kef ls50 metas but they do need a good amp and most importantly, a subwoofer to sound really good in opinion.

Desktop speaker choice
If this is mostly nearfield / desk listening and you’ve only got 10–20 cm from the rear wall, I’d prioritise controlled bass and good off-axis behaviour over sheer scale. Quick thoughts on your list: KEF LS50 Meta – excellent imaging and midrange, but they’re not ideal that close to a wall without s

Speaker Upgrade debacle
This was my recent solution. Smaller room, so nothing crazy- but I bought LS50 Meta 3’s and was a little underwhelmed (as expected) by the lower end. Added a REL T5x and absolutely love the pairing with the KEF’s. Oh and I also left the port plugs in since I only have about 9” to the back wall.
