Upgrade fronts from Q350 to Q Concerto Metas?
The Q Concertos are probably the best bang for buck KEFs out there.

Upgrade Ideas
Speakers and subwoofer will be your biggest improvement. If you like the sound of the elac speakers, consider the KEF Q concerto metas or if you can save up for it, the R3s. After that, look to add a subwoofer, something like a REL HT 10/03 or HT 12/05 depending on the size of your room and the amou

Income & high-end system
If you aren't loving the KEF Q metas in your current space, I would not recommend you spending significantly more for a new setup. Outspending an unknown problem is not a good solution. Try to look at it a different way. Spending to upgrade something you dont love, will never give as much satisfacti

Passive bookshelf speaker recommendations?
Well, since your Sony only has bass and treble controls for sound shaping, you should look at speakers with a pretty consistent in-room response out of the box. What came to mind right away are the KEF Q Concerto Metas. While they retail for $1400, there are a pair of factory-recertified units that

Should I keep my B&W 607 S3 or switch to KEF (Q1, Q3, or Concerto)?
Being an employee could you take the floor models home, one pair at a time at store closing, and return prior to opening? That is a real good price for the Q Concerto Meta. On another level, what would the KEF R3 cost you?

Mechano23
I am also thinking about building them. From my research, there are no real options that measure better that the mechano23 at its price point. One alternative might be the Ascilab speakers which can be had for under 1000€ (reviews are on ASR and Erin reviewed the too, though that was the variant for

Sonos five pair vs Wiim amp ultra + Kef q concerto meta
Why not get a Sonos Amp and KEF Q Concerto Metas? Best of both worlds! And move that Five to another room, in a hallway, or onto the kitchen counter etc - so you can play the same music on both. Perfectly in sync.

AVR Suggestion for Q Concerto Meta
So I’m just going to give you a quick run down of my experience with my AVR (Pioneer LX505) and multiple bookshelf speakers I tested (606 S3, Concerto Meta, Klipsch Rp600m II, Polk R200, 602 S1, R3 Meta). All speakers I tested ran into distortion well before my desired SPL. At first, I thought it wa

LSX II → LS50 Wireless II upgrade? Better option around $1700 USD / $2400 CAD for music in a 150 sq ft room?
I hear you on the build quality, I’ve seen that firsthand, but I don’t think it actually means anything in practice. Again, look at EAC’s measurements of LS50WII and Q Concerto. The Q Concerto has lower distortion across the entire audio band. It has much better compression in a sine wave sweep. It
