KEF R5 Meta, worth the upgrade?

Yes, going from the Q1 Meta to the R5 Meta is a noticeable upgrade. But you're basing your desire to upgrade off having heard the Fyne FP702s. That's.... confusing..... For the record, IMO KEF and Fyne Audio speakers don't sound super similar. So if something about the Fyne speakers really appealed

KEF R11 Meta - Don't Understand the Hype

I find the KEF R series to be good, but quite overhyped on the forums, usually because of their good measurements. They resolve to a point, and then you would have to go upstream, KEF or otherwise. I had the R3 Meta in house for a little, and they just couldn't hold their own against my (then) curre

Where do you position your speakers?

Most speakers are meant to breathe but that’s not always possible. I’m a professional audio engineer and my setup would make most engineers cry with how the speakers are positioned but that’s what I have to work with. My system is in a game room with an odd setup that makes for very different enviro

Sound system recommendations?

So I have the Kef q1 meta’s and an SVS PB-1000 pro sub. The KEF’s are powered by a Wiim amp pro. Total cost of the setup was about $2K. You could do something similar and get the bigger kef speakers to fill your larger room. Love this setup because you can plug in multiple devices and start high qua

KEF Coda W (W = Wow!)

Was so tempted to buy the Codas….did a mad amount of research on them. I ultimately ended up with an Arcam A15+ and Kef Q1 meta on sale for 399. I wanted a great phono section and loved the fact it had a decent built in dac and I could swap out the speakers later. For the 1k for the codas i justifie

Speaker Demo - Day 1

For a room that size, you're going to need a beast of a loudspeaker to fill that size of space. You'll also need a multi-subwoofer bass system if you want solid, in-room bass response. The KEF Q11 Meta towers and two or more RSL Speedwoofer 10S subs is a good solution. Besides being a damn good subw

Soundbar or Speakers around 1k?

I just built my first budget system. I ended up getting 2 pairs of KEF Q1 Metas on sale for $400 each pair. These are for front L/R and center and I plan on selling the fourth one on eBay. I then got a Denon AVR-s760h and a Polk Audio HTS-10 subwoofer from the same guy off FB marketplace for $450 to

Speaker suggestion needed for difficult room

Just a quick note on the passive speaker option. I saw from EAC that the KEF Q1 Meta just dropped down to $400/pr so that could be a really nice option that will help with the budget and maybe allow some flexibility/upgrades in other components, or just a general savings for system build. I heard (almost) every KEF Meta speaker in existence, here are 8 key findings

Sorry for the delay in replying, I hadn't seen your comment. The room is 2.30 m high, 3.35 m wide and 4.90 m long. I'm still in the planning phase. I did some more research and saw that the Q1 meta speakers are sufficient for surround sound, my planned setup is like this L/R- KEF Q11 Meta Center - K
