New DAP means it’s time to switch the keyboard
Thanks! It’s a keychron Q4 (should have got the pro for Bluetooth) but I’ve switched the keycaps to a set called ember from Novelkeys and I’m using baby kangaroo switches. Also a DAP is a digital audio player. A lot of them have special functions but I just use mine as a nice mp3 player to play high

Truely Silent 100% Keyboard needed
Try the Plumber's Mod first. https://github.com/EanNewton/Awesome-Keebs/blob/main/tutorials/Plumbers%20Mod%20for%20Stabilizer.md I find my Monsgeek M1 (both the v3 and v5) have much quieter stabilizers than my Keychron Q4. Stabilizers are the work of the devil, to be fair. The Norbauer Seneca has wh

Unpopular opinion: the V1 at $74 makes the Q1 Max at $199 almost impossible to justify. I ran the numbers.
The Q are really hard to justify, except maybe the Q4 is still a bit of a bargain. I still prefer the J2 to any of the Q or V lines. The Keychron design language that makes then leave out the bottom key in the navigation column in the V1/Q1 kind of ticks me off. Moving the column over 1/4u and putti

please help a keyboard newbie to buy correctly
Get a QMK board so you don't get "helpful" keyboard software preventing you from changing "system" keys. Particularly for a 60% board because you can use mod-tap to create a virtual arrow cluster. Any QMK board has 1k polling. Faster than that doesn't really help. For a magnetic board the best optio

Please for the love of God, help me find a 100% Full Size Keyboard!
Q6 Max has regular mechanical switches, HE has Hall Effects. All Keychron boards are TMR (supposedly the better kind of HE switches). I had Q6 HE full sized for gaming and could not say a bad word about it. I downsized to Q4 HE because turns out I didn't need a full size keyboard and would rather en

Keychron sales
Not sure what shortcomings you see, I have a Q4 and a Monsgeek M1 v3 and the quality and features of the Monsgeek board are at least in-line with the Keychron. Keychron has been having serious quality control and design problems, particularly in gasket mounted boards like the Q1, and their overworke

ZSA Voyager feels too “rigid”
I moved from keychron q4 to voyager back in January, and have the same feeling. The choc reds are too loose, as they’re 35gf against 45 on keychron. If I’m not wrong. But I believe the problem is not there. It’s because in keychron you have more travel and also probably because of the double casket

Keychron V6 - Impressed and I like it, but not what I thought it was
First is the RGB backlight doesn't come through the keys and light up the letter/symbol/text of the key itself, so what the point of it? Nothing. Ever since south-facing sockets backlight has been useless. My main keyboard doesn't even have any LEDs except for the capslock indicator. Brown switches

How do i use arrow keys on ducky one 3 mini without holding FN
That looks like a pretty generic 60% board, and for $99 on Amazon US rather overpriced - that's more than a Keychron Q4! I would return it and get a QMK based 60% board that supports mod-tap arrows instead. Then you can tap the keys to use them as arrows, or hold them to use them as modifiers (contr

K2 HE - No button to update firmware?
Are you suggesting that I use the product without installing the latest firmware Yes. It's a keyboard. It's not an internet connected device that is exposed to attacks. It's unlikely that there will ever be any significant bugs that need fixing. Particularly if it's QMK: the QMK firmware is so well
