New DAP means it’s time to switch the keyboard
Thanks! It’s a keychron Q4 (should have got the pro for Bluetooth) but I’ve switched the keycaps to a set called ember from Novelkeys and I’m using baby kangaroo switches. Also a DAP is a digital audio player. A lot of them have special functions but I just use mine as a nice mp3 player to play high

Truely Silent 100% Keyboard needed
Try the Plumber's Mod first. https://github.com/EanNewton/Awesome-Keebs/blob/main/tutorials/Plumbers%20Mod%20for%20Stabilizer.md I find my Monsgeek M1 (both the v3 and v5) have much quieter stabilizers than my Keychron Q4. Stabilizers are the work of the devil, to be fair. The Norbauer Seneca has wh

ZSA Voyager feels too “rigid”
I moved from keychron q4 to voyager back in January, and have the same feeling. The choc reds are too loose, as they’re 35gf against 45 on keychron. If I’m not wrong. But I believe the problem is not there. It’s because in keychron you have more travel and also probably because of the double casket

Keychron V6 - Impressed and I like it, but not what I thought it was
First is the RGB backlight doesn't come through the keys and light up the letter/symbol/text of the key itself, so what the point of it? Nothing. Ever since south-facing sockets backlight has been useless. My main keyboard doesn't even have any LEDs except for the capslock indicator. Brown switches

Keychron sales
Not sure what shortcomings you see, I have a Q4 and a Monsgeek M1 v3 and the quality and features of the Monsgeek board are at least in-line with the Keychron. Keychron has been having serious quality control and design problems, particularly in gasket mounted boards like the Q1, and their overworke

Keychron Q1 came with these adhesive foam strips, what are they used for?
That is so lame. Edit: out of curiosity I just disassembled my Keychron Q4 and that construction is so cheap. Update: as seen in this video: https://www.keychron.com/pages/how-to-disassemble-the-keychron-q-pro-series-keyboard

M1 V5 double type
It happens. My Keychron Q4 was missing major functionality until I upgraded the firmware... but it had been sitting in a warehouse for at least a year based on the production date in the serial number.

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer - March 19, 2026
So I am kinda in a weird place. Currently I am using an aula f75. I bought it when it was making its rounds on tiktok originally because my q4 wasn't really comfortable to use. I mostly game on my PC and when using wasd the edge of the q4 kind of presses into my hand/wrist and makes it uncomfortable

Recomendations on new speakers!
The keyboard is the Keychron Q4, and the mousepad is a random feltpad from Alieexpress. Not that nice to use actually..

Recommendation for an *absolute* beginner
Two years ago I would have suggested one of the V series. I have a K2 Pro, a Q4, and I had a V7 but gave it to my daughter. But these are all at least two years old, lately Keychron has had production problems and become a bit of a broken step... something you warn people about. There are too many r
