Speakers for low level listening
For affordable bookshelves, and in my personal experience over the years with multiple sizes and brands of speakers(Elac, Wharfedale, CSS), the Klipsch RP600M have given me the best low level listening experience with exceptional detail and bass. Paired with a Yamaha A-S801, I can exploit the loudne

My first foray into high quality speakers and I’m not sure what to expect.
Here's the on axis frequency response: https://www.spinorama.org/compare.html?speaker0=Klipsch+RP-600M&origin0=ASR&version0=asr&measurement=On+Axis&speaker1=KEF+Q11+Meta&origin1=ErinsAudioCorner&version1=eac The estimated in room response - the bass in every room is going to be different: https://ww

Upgraded my system after 15 years, and I’m not impressed.
I went through a similar situation. Went from an 1980’s Pioneer SX3700 to a Yamaha S701. I love the Pioneer but it needs to be serviced as it’s over 40 years old. At first, I really disliked the Yamaha . Going from a retro Class A amp rated at 35 watts per channel to a 100 watts per channel Class AB

Finally got my attainable dream setup for now
Don't worry about the speakers being on the same surface with how you have it, it's fine. Tho I would recommend maybe angling them out more and not have the meeting point be so focused. I have an RT82 and Fosi Box X5, along with different speakers now tho; I use my Edifiers for my TV lol we almost h

For vinyl listening, may I ask the what you'd go with pertaining to Kef Q150/Q350 or Klipsch RP-600M ii.
No experience with the KEF, but I had the predecessor to the Klipsch RP-600M II, which was the RP-160M. They were fantastic. I used the tone controls on my integrated amp to dial down the treble a bit and to dial up the bass a bit. They sounded like small towers, which they kind of were. Now, I have

Not sure I trust the You Tube audiophiles
Throwing in 2 cents—last Christmas I bought my son a pair of Klipsch RP-600M first gen (about $300 on Amazon) and I was blown away by them. Maybe not “audiophile” (I don’t know what that means) but wow were they fun and lively. Great bass and drums

Audio side quest
That is a large living room. Unfortunately the Klipsch speakers are rear ported, and I have mine on approximately 60 cm tall Target stands. I have an open plan main floor, my audio listening rig is at the top of the L in an L shaped floor plan where the long side of the L is approximately 14.7m long

Gjallarhorn stack options for near field listening
I have the Ghorn and Asgard 2, modi 3e dac. The Ghorn pushes the Klipsch RP-600M. Sounds really good! And for headphones using the Beyerdynamic DT 880 600 ohm version (if I did it over I would’ve gone for the 250 or 32 ohm) Fantastic setup but I have a huge problem. My PC sits right next to the syst

Audio side quest
Stereophile's Herb Reichert listed Klipsch RP600M II as a Class B restricted LF recommended component. (Save your money and get the cheaper RP500m II.) I found a BRZHiFi A1s on Amazon of all places so I wasn't too concerned about returns if it wasn't to my taste. One word of warning tho, the A1 circ
