Then honestly, you did a perfect job! Such a good build and itll keep him ready for future games with those specs. I have the same KTC monitor as my side monitor just with less hz and its really good for how much it costs.

I bought a KTC monitor (200hz) recently, but it has screen flicker, only up to 144 hz works, so they might have QC issues. But the monitor display itself looks nice. I didn't bother sending it back, im just using it with 144hz even tho it should do 200hz

I’d shoot for a 2k resolution with 240hz + refresh rate at 1080 resolution. That way they can jump up to 2k gaming with the 3060 or stay at 1080 with good frame per second capability.
