Here's explained why HDR might look "washed out" compared to SDR
The holy console magic sauce lol. we all have the same problems, PC gets away with it far far easier than any other platform because we have competent HDR fixes and modded implementations. consoles gets peanuts. Look at this shit in SDR on a G5 lol : https://www.reddit.com/r/LGOLED/comments/1n93i44/

Is it a mistake to keep game brightness hdr on 500 nits?
There's no wrong answer in this, just don't sit too close to peak brightness I use 400PW on my LG G5 (2500 peak) and it looks amazing, highlights have enough room to shine and the whole picture looks very real

Living room TV recommendation: LG OLED G5 VS. SAMSUNG S95F
The 77” Samsung S95F has a QD-OLED panel—only the largest 83” size TV uses the LG WOLED panel. That being said, since this is a living room TV, QD-OLED will suffer from raised black levels since you’ll be watching it with ambient light. I don’t think you’d be disappointed with either TV, but I agree

Cyberpunk now looks a generation ahead on PS5 Pro compared to base consoles running at twice the framerate
There's pros and cons to every display tech. You're 100% right that OLED isn't default better. The minimum quality standard is just higher for OLED. The lowest end OLED panels these days are still excellent. The big advantage for premium miniLED TVs like the Bravia 9 or TCL QM8K is their sheer brigh

2025 TCL QM8K Matched My $30K Monitor - Stop the FOMO
You came to argue about OLED's and all you're equipped with is what you saw on rtings? >_< The G5 and S95F can both hit 4K in 2% windows at their native whitepoint. Vincent Teoh was on camera doing it with the G5 months ago, and another reviewer got 4075 nits out of the S95F. Ok but if they aren't h

RenoDX Cyberpunk preferences
LG G5? 400 paperwhite probably looks washed out no? I find HDR to pop better below 300nits paperwhite.

LG G6 OLED Review
The LG G5 has excellent HDR native gradient handling. There's some very minor banding in some colors, but it's barely noticeable with real content. When this TV launched, there was more noticeable banding due to an issue with HDR10, but that was fixed in Filmmaker Mode as of firmware 33.11.35. Other

How is GT7 different than Assetto Corsa in PCVR with wheel?
Did you turn the brightness of the headset down? The HDR hurts my eyes after they're adjusted to the dark. Fade to white in Moss is painful at full brightness. Sure and OLED TV can go up much higher for local highlights yet PSVR2 'only' 265 nits covers the whole screen over 110 degree fov. The max f

LG OLED C4 65 vs Samsung S90C 77
I fully drank the Dolby Vision (DoVi) hype which is mostly from very successful marketing and it had me thinking DoVi was outright superior so I only purchased TV's that supported it. Thing is, LG only supports DoVi and HDR10 but not HDR10+ which is the actual direct competitor to DoVi with dynamic

LG G5 or S95F allround user?
I was also debating between these two and went with the S95F, for two reasons mainly. The G5 has issues with banding in HDR10 (important for PS5 gaming as HDR10 is what it uses) and all the previous LG OLEDs I've owned in the past have developed dead pixels all around the screen edges over time, som
