Upgrade suggestion for solo singer/guitarist
Ok, with that information, I'd advise to skip the Mackie Thump Go speakers. While a decent pair of plug-in 8" PA speakers might perform as needed, I think the lower output of the Thump Go's will be a downgrade from what you have. This is also similar to the JBL EON One Compact 8" speakers. EV's Quic

Upgrade suggestion for solo singer/guitarist
My first suggestion is to look at a 12" column like EV Evolve 50M. Adding another EON can help with coverage, but won't add a lot of overall volume...you're not going to be able to get to the back of a larger crowd with two EON's vs one EON. You will be able to cover a much wider area with a pair at

Small portable amp good for effects pedals
There are plenty of small battery power PA options. JBL EON one Compact, Electrovoice Everse 8 and Bose S1 Pro are just three options I have really liked the sound of. Mackie makes the Thump Go too as another option that is okay but I feel like it gets a bit bass heavy for me to be completely happy

Jbl Partybox 310 vs. Mackie Thump Go. just DJing dubstep (space bass, wonky) at small kickbacks. which is going to sound better?
A year late to this but I have a pair of 310s and my friend has a pair of Go's. The thumps are definitely louder but the low end is missing. The 310s have much better bass representation as far as house and techno are concerned so im assuming dubstep will fare better with those alone. If you plan on

What is your go to speaker setup for house parties (10-50 people)?
Get a small column PA. ES602, Maui 5, TS112C, etc. Some are lighter than many tops, covers lows nicely because it has a sub, quick setup, wide sound pattern (spreads more in a short room), easier to manage indoors. I own a larger PA like yours (12" top, 18" sub, 132dB 4000w), but this is a lot more

Home theatre karaoke?
Rockville Audio makes a speaker that would work. It's just a little more than $200 but is versitile because it is battery powered and has echo processing on channels 1 and 2. For music you can run either by Bluetooth or 1/8th cable so that you don't have to be running two different sets of speakers.
