New Surface Prices No Longer Competitive
It's definitely pricey. When I bought my Surface Laptop 5, I actually went with the 16GB/512GB version to cut cost - then I upgraded the SSD to 1TB myself. It turned out perfect. Microsoft is offering a buyback of old surface devices when you buy new from them. They also price match other major retailers. They valued my SL5 at $700, which I thought was awesome.
