This is exactly what I was going for. I initially had the atomman g7 but the 7600m was just to weak so i was going to get the new one which imo is better than these because its a laptop 4070/5070 vs desktop 5060 which is also upgradeable for less money…..I sold the G7 and the g1 kept being sold out…

You almost had it but ms-a1 yes you need a desktop cpu or you get the one that comes with 8700g. The A1 also has oculink so the sky is the limit after that. TJmax 78 should be good, I use external usb fans, too. I mine 24/7 with them and have 3 Minusform mini pcs: ms-a1 and 2 G7 PTs. I find them very good quality.

No problem glad I can help. Yes officially the MS-A1 supports up to 5200MHz RAM, but you can overclock via the BIOS. The BIOS menu, especially around setting the RAM timings is odd - you set the timings via hex values, rather than the actual straight numbering. I'm using Kingston Fury Impact RAM. 2x
