4k gaming on 9070 xt and 7800 x3d
Game will look better sharpness wise, but textures and volumetrics will obviously suffer if you’re going down to low/medium compared to high/ultra. I’d personally go for 1440p, as you’ll be able to push higher refresh rates. If you’re still wanting that bigger screen, ultrawide is another good optio

Playing PoE on an OLED monitor
it's not much of a problem on newer displays from what I know. I've used my oled monitor for 1.5 years with no burn in, granted that's not that long of a time yet. I use the OLED care protection that my monitor comes with regulary. Whenever I game I usually game for 8h+ with game always on, and a lo

Anyone have experience of using an Oled monitor in mixed business / pleasure scenario?
I bought an OLED ultrawide about 1.5 months ago (MSI MAG 341CQP). You can’t get an ultrawide in mini-led so went OLED and use it for mixture of work and gaming/content. Obviously I haven’t had it long enough to really check burn in, but so far it’s been perfect. I work on a Mac and most of my work i

9070 XT: 1440p or 4k?
Msi mpg 341cqpx. It’s the newer version with 240hz. I’ve been very happy with it. Has all of the nice to haves like usb c power delivery, kvm switch etc. I thought about it a long time and looked at all the comparable ones before I settled on it. No regrets besides wondering on occasion about 4K but

Night flights just hit different on an OLED monitor
Okay so I just bought an msi mpg 341cqpx qd-oled but I cannot for the life of me get nights to look dark at all in 2024. This is all I end up with while running HDR in windows and the sim. Any advice on how to fix this? Otherwise loving the monitor so far, cockpit and city lights seem much more vibr

Would you recommend a 1440p Ultrawide or 4K Monitor? Is OLED worth it in the PC space?
The question of 1440p vs 4k mostly comes down to longevity and the types of games you play, 4k will come with a big hit to performance and you'll have to upgrade your system on a quicker time frame than with 1440p, but if you play less intensive games then it's an easier pick. OLED depends mostly on

Upgrade from AM4 to 5 or wait?
32gb of DDR5 alone is $350-400, I really don't think it's worth it, especially considering with a 5080 you're only getting 10-15% better native performance, you can get that just by OCing your card, which is free. If you're having the itch to upgrade and it's the type of thing that'd suit your workf

How it looks going from IPS to OLED
I bought my MSI MAG 341CQP QD-OLED for just under £500. It was a returned unit and had like 6 hours on the panel. It's crazy the deals you can find out there. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. No stuck or dead pixels, it was basically new.
