Any Recommendations On New Orbi (or other mesh like system) since current one is end of life?

Just replaced my ORBI RBR / RBS20 Mesh system with new ORBI 770 series. Happy with speed and throughput improvements and more consistent and reliable coverage. So far so good

Have you been having frequent Spectrum internet outages?

I would suggest either the Asus RT-BE96U if you can get by with a single device (if the modem will be located in the middle of your home and you are at about no larger than 2,000 square feet), or the Netgear Orbi 770 series if your space is larger and/or the modem is in the far corner of the home wh...

New mesh system

I just upgrade to the Orbi 770 and am very happy with my investment. We have about 20 devices hooked up and the internet speed is extremely fast. We live in a brick house with plaster walls. Make the investment. You will not be disappointed.

Best Bang for the Buck Mesh WiFi System

I'd go with the TP-Link Deco XE70 Pro, it offers the best balance of performance, future-proofing (Wi-Fi 6E), and value. Great for large homes with lots of devices, and supports multi-gig speeds if your fiber plan is fast. Better value than Orbi 770 unless you really need Wi-Fi 7.

Orbi 770 versus Orbi 850 (RBK853) - wifi range to satellites?

My experience: The Orbi 850 has a better range, but the stability is much better with the Orbi 770, especially with iPhones not dropping anymore. Additionally, the design is sleeker, faster Ethernet ports (although less), you can use all WiFi channels (no channel is reserved for wireless backhaul al...

Orbi 770 versus Orbi 850 (RBK853) - wifi range to satellites?

Thanks for sharing your experience! Interesting that some are seeing issues with BE wifi on certain mobile devices and others are not. This is why I am considering still trying the 770. My biggest concern is if the antennae (intentional plural spelling) in the 770 are a downgrade (as it has been rep...

Want to upgrade my wifi mesh

If you have the XT8 and are satisfied with there performance you can always get the ET8 which is the 6E version. I would avoid the Orbi 770 series they have been firmware nightmares as of late. The Orbi 960 system is very solid and has insane range and speed. I have personally had the all 3 systems ...

RBE971 Firmware 9.12.5.3 is released (NA Only)

Has anyone found a way to get the Signal Strength of connected devices? RSSI at either the device or Router end would be super helpful in positioning devices and satellites. I can't believe it's not burried in the menu someplace. I'm 2 days into Orbi 770 after being an ASUS guy for the last 7 years....

Orbi 770 versus Orbi 850 (RBK853) - wifi range to satellites?

Sounds like OP already made the switch, but I can provide my specific experience for the benefit of others. I ran the RBK852 config for the past three years and it was absolutely rock stable. Never had any issues with it despite a house full of devices and multiple 4k streaming TVs. I was itching to...

Should I Switch to WiFi 7? Orbi 770

I’m a massive fan of the Orbi 770(3) (1 x router and 2 x satellites). I upgraded from my old Nighthawk MK63 and haven’t looked back. Speed throughout my home is consistent, topping out at over 900Mpbs, my fibre package is 900Mpbs so I get more than I pay for. I have a wired backhaul set up which wor...
