Dashcam question

I've got a Nextbase 422GW and the add-on rear camera. I set it to 1080p to increase effective SD card capacity and the picture quality is adequate, not great. It works fine as a set-and-forget recorder but app connectivity and a couple of usability issues are a bit irritating. It appears to have bee

Temporary red lights are just a suggestion, right?

Nextbase 422GW. It's pretty good, with a rear facing camera that can be plugged in. Leaves a lot to be desired at night time though.

Dash Cam Recommendations

I’ve got a Nextbase 422GW, nice mounted just behind my rear view so out of site, but can be easily accessed on passengers side if needed. Had a rear option too, hardwired mine and ran under the trim. Had no issues with it and has an app too(although way quicker to take SD card out and transfer files

Looking for dashcam recommendations

I’ve got a nextbase 422gw and I’m not that impressed..Had it wired to a permanent live with their hardwire kit and had all sorts of problems, staying on all the time, freezing up due to overheating, freezing up with a constant buzzing sound..Now wireed to switched live (ignition) and formatting once

Dashcams

From a deatiled youtube review of them a few years ago I read that they all basically have the same chip inside them. None of them are that great in low light or 4K dispite their claims. So pick one that is reasonably priced and go for it. Once its stuck on your windscreen you will never look or tou

Dashcams.

I use a Nextbase 422GW and I'm very happy with it. Its not going to have you sobbing with emotion at the sheer beauty of the footage, but I found its good enough to pick out all the important details, and its been reliable.

Dashcams

I use a Nextbase 422GW from my previous car and connect it to the OBD-ii port for power. It's simpler to install than the fusebox.

Am i an idiot?

Not the Nextbase 522GW. I’m on my 3rd warranty replacement. They all fail in the same way. They lock up and are completely unresponsive. The “recording” LED is very hard to see too so you don’t easily spot that it’s gone solid instead of blinking. The most obvious “tell” that it’s frozen up is that

Camera in car

Nextbase 422GW or whatever the current model is. 2K recording and good night time quality. Get a quality SD card from SanDisk or Samsung as it's going to be writing data repeatedly. Should be around €200 total, they have a rear camera albeit in lower quality that plugs into the front camera.

Dash cam recommendations?

I'm using a nextbase 422GW. Quality is good even in lowlight/night driving.
