What's the best bang for your buck, small m43 camera
The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV is currently an excellent value purchase ($599 In the states), but the GX9, Gx85 and OM5 have some really useful features. I use a GX1 and OM-D E-M10 Mark ii on trips.

Amateur birder getting into photography
I second this! I also recently got into birding and then just purchased a camera. As a total beginner I got the OM-D E-M10 mark iv body paired with the Olympus 75-300mm II 4.8-6.7 M.Zuiko Lens used. It's definitely an entry level body and lens but I love it. I particularly appreciate that the zoom l

Camera/lens advice!
Hi everyone!
I'm looking to buy myself my first camera. Been taking photos of my travels with my phone last few years and now I feel like it's time for an upgrade. Now, as I'm a total beginner and just getting into the world of cameras I'm looking for some advice.. Based on my photos that I've atta

Last camera I owned was bought used in 2011. What's the current camera market look like?
Yeah, not much out there for you pal. I highly recommend you boost that budget up by a couple of 100s, otherwise you'll waste your money on something that just won't get you what you want/need. If you can stretch to $700 this is a pretty good deal on a body and lens combo Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV

E-M10iv vs GX85 - why does the GX85 get all the love?
It's kind of a myth. I just upgraded from the E-M10ii to the Mark iv, and the only feature missing is MySets, which I never used. They also took away the ability to customize a couple of the buttons, but they added more functionality to the d-pad. The d-pad now behaves very similarly to the one on t

Help a beginner choose ....
I'm not sure why you're comparing these 2 cameras. They're in completely different price brackets. A quick check at MPB puts an XS20 body at ~$1400. An EM5ii body goes for ~$500. That's a $900 difference! And the price difference is justified. The XS20 was released in 2023. The EM5ii in 2015. 8 year

BMPCC4K Still good?
I got my BMPCC4k a year ago and i love it. I don't recommend it for handheld work, but you can complement it with much lighter options from Olympus / OM system and share glass. I recently got a (basically brand new) E-M10iv for under $400 on ebay and it is turning out to be the perfect companion. I

Affordable Kit
I just made the move to get a used em10 IV and 17mm 1.8. I think the combo ran me around $875. The 17mm has a focus clutch which should be great for street photography. There are a lot of great m43 lenses so I’m sure there’s something out there to fit your needs as you grow with the camera. Having s

Should I trade my gx85 for an e-m10 IV?
Hi! Thanks for the reply! When I look at some of my gx85 images I'm not particularly happy with the SOOC JPG colors. Others have said olympus has better JPG processing and I'm currently trying to find some comparisons right now haha. The extra 4mp in theory should allow me to crop a bit more and i li

Post-processing software for someone who is completely new to this?
I've just bought myself an Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV with a couple of lenses bundled in - it seems like a decent enough choice for what I'll be using it for.
I might get some good pics but they'll surely be improved with a bit of post-processing. I'll put the time in to learn the software, and whi
