Friend recommended an M43 as a solid first camera for me. And while it’s only been a week, I would do unspeakable things if anything ever happened to it [OLYMPUS OM-D E-M10 Mark IV + 12-40mm F2.8 Pro]

What's the best bang for your buck, small m43 camera
The Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV is currently an excellent value purchase ($599 In the states), but the GX9, Gx85 and OM5 have some really useful features. I use a GX1 and OM-D E-M10 Mark ii on trips.

Beginner camera for street + nature
I 100% agree with the MFT route! Cameras like the Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV or Lumix GX85 are perfect for this use case. The bodies and lenses are super compact, so hindi nakakahiya o nakaka-intimidate ilabas for street photography. At the same time, you have the flexibility to swap to a telephoto

I second this! I also recently got into birding and then just purchased a camera. As a total beginner I got the OM-D E-M10 mark iv body paired with the Olympus 75-300mm II 4.8-6.7 M.Zuiko Lens used. It's definitely an entry level body and lens but I love it. I particularly appreciate that the zoom l

How necessary is stabilization?
Having had cameras with IBIS (Olympus E-M10 IV) and cameras (D500, and a bunch of film cameras) without it I will never buy a digital camera without it again. It's 'Post your M43 photo' Thursday! Come share your best work with the community!
I just started in the last few weeks and have been bringing my camera with me on weekend explorations of the city. Watertowers and train tracks are always a tempting snap! I preferred this in monochrome to the colour version 📷 Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mark IV
