Are there landscape photographers here using m43?
OM isn't 'the poorest system' for landscapes. That's a narrow mindset of the uninformed (usually FF shooters who've never used M43 and go by specs). It's extremely difficult to tell the difference between 11 or 12 stops in a print (for example). The difference is more in the operator than the gear.

What is the difference between an OM-1 and say an entry level Lumix full frame s5 ii camera?
At equal light gathering for a given FOV, lens sizes will be pretty similar, with a slight weight/size advantage to crop sensors. FF has more large lens options that gather more light for a given FOV. M43 has more compact lens options that gather less light for a given FOV. ------------ When systems

It's 'Post your M43 photo' Thursday! Come share your best work with the community!
Photographed racers at a downhill mountain biking course in Monterey the other day. Love the subject detection speed of the OM1ii. I particularly like how the dirt kicked up in the background contributes to some good subject/BG separation by adding some nice contrast. It also gives a feeling of how

Upgrade from sony rx10 iv?
RX 10 IV...I owned one of these... a helluva camera. You may be aware that they have been discontinued. No one else has made a 'dad camera' as good as this one. so, these are worth a lot. i bought mine new in 2018 or so ... might have been around $1600. I think I got $800 when I sold it. They are se

APS-C for macro?
I'll start this off by clarifying I only have experience with Sony & Olympus / OM systems. I've tried to use the Sony A6700 and the Sony 90mm for handheld insect macro photography and eventually gave up. The sensor readout time and buffer were too slow for my style of photography. I ended up going w

In love with my Fujifilm X-Pro 2
The X-Pro2 is one of my "special" cameras. Most cameras, I could use them and love them, but if you present me the upgraded model, I probably wouldn't have any problems when it comes to switching to the newer model. Like, I used to use an X-T2 + X-H1 for event photography. Change them for an X-T3 +

Total Beginner: Should I invest in Fuji lenses for wildlife photography, or switch systems now?
Oh wow. I started with an X-S10 and a 16-80 and adapted some old lenses, and managed to get a hawk in flight (using manual focus even!) and got hooked. Moved up to a 70-300, then got really hooked. Went full send with an X-H2S and XF150-600...after another year or two Fuji managed to screw up autofo

Looks like OM had some ambassadors debunk sensor myths!
most of these points are kinda weird, like you are making compromises on some aspects and gaining benefits on some others, that is how different gear work, so you can say the compromises are worth it for you but totally dismissing them isn't the way. like looking at the points, low light, resolution

Best Camera Brand for beginner nature photographer?
For wildlife, the best (almost) no caveat systems would be OM System or Sony. Some of the most important features for me would be a stacked sensor with decent buffer, pre-capture, and blackout free shooting (which is essential for birds in flight). Canon freezes up when the buffer is full, Nikon lac

Leaving full frame camera - for something else... (my camera-journey)
The OM-5 II uses the same sensor and imaging system / processor found in the OM-5 and E-M1 III (Sony IMX272 with truepic IX), but includes the new OM menu's, which are more intuitive and a few quality of life upgrades like better grip, USB-C, and a "CP" button. AF is good but not great. The resolvin
