Panasonic I beg you we need an updated GM1

You understand that as soon you add IBIS it will no longer be a “GM1 markll”… not even a “GM5 markII”. It needs to be thicker. In the dream land (Panasonic as any other company is ruled by their finances and bets that have profit) I would prefer them to make the possibly smallest IBIS+PDAF camera wi

2 new Lumix cameras registered

What more could the GH8 actually add that the GH7 doesn’t already have? More resolution? Higher frame rates? On such a small Micro Four Thirds sensor, increasing resolution feels pointless. I think Panasonic has already extracted close to the maximum dynamic range possible from a sensor of this size

Overthinking: G9ii vs S5ii vs GH7 traveling and indoor shooting at higher frame rates

The S5II kit 20-60 isn't the sharpest wide open. It also isn't the fastest. The difference in DOF between Full frame and MFT is 2 stops of aperture. A Panasonic 10-25 F1.7 would actually give you a shallower depth of field and more light than the 20-60. But that is a big expensive lens, and the GH7

Colors and Image of the S1II compared to S1H, S1R2 and S5II

Good deals on shit sensors nobody wants. Panasonic clearly needed 4K 120 frames per second for GH7, and Sony wasn’t willing to make that chip.

Unspoken benefit of the M43 sensor (Olympus)

I think the disconnect is that I have no interest in the sorts of photography where there is actual money to be made. (Not because I hate money, it's just the things I find interesting happen to not be financially fruitful.) So the pros who draw my attention are the ones doing things that you aren't

L10 size vs Pen F

Panasonic's PDAF still can't AF-C and the S-AF is not dramatically different than DFD. I've used both a GX9 and S9. The sensor is still not stacked. It is backside illuminated at least, which at least is a step up. And you're right the sensor is 1 generation newer, but the D-Lux8 can easily fit into

Is full frame necessary ?

The same limitations of small sensors—poor low-light, depth of field is way deeper than on larger sensors. I don’t like MFT glass in general, which means manual glass, which begs the question why you would purchase cinema glass for MFT. Apparently the GH7 has decent autofocus, but there has been no
