New firmwares for S5m2(x), S9 dropped
Debatable They vastly degraded the s5iix image quality with aggressive sharpening and NR post launch (firmware which can't be reversed) and later completely removed streaming functions which were heavily marketed and users specifically paid for with the s5iix over the s5ii Also every other update br

Problems with the S1II
The AF part- 100% my experience (with s5ii at least, the s1ii should be only tad better). The “wide zone +tap to track which actually works and doesnt loose subject” mode on sony is ideal for run&gun/ events and panasonic just makes you concentrate on checking if the focus didnt drifted off instead

Anyone else finding the S1II can give some weird colours at times?
I own or owned lot of Panasonic full frame and m43 cameras. To my eyes, the S1II has the worse colors, by example a lot of time when I look at my footage, I think the greens look off and it is not only because of the white balance. The S5II had nicer colors on my opinion, the first firmware of this c

Anybody switched yet?
I switched over to Lumix S5ii due to the image being way better and regret it. I totally grass is greener’d and miss Sony autofocus real bad. I’m going to pick up another Sony and use the Lumix as a b-cam, as well as a handheld b-roll camera because the IBIS is so frickin good.

Nikon Z6 iii vs Nikon ZR vs panasonic S1 ii for travel videos?
For travel, the form factor of the S1ii/S5ii style body kinda sucks. As someone traveling a lot recently with an S5iiX, the evf gets in the way of using a slim bag, and the weight of the body is very noticeable when taking 10-20k steps a day. I'd recommend the Nikon ZR or Lumix S9 for form factor al

Does the Lumix 14-28 f4-5.6 wobble when using cropless EIS?
Oh, I was considering the S5ii as well, but ditched the idea since it doesn't have cropless EIS. So it's interesting to hear that they fixed wobble also without cropless. And similarly I ditched the idea of the Sigma 16-28 f2.8 since cropless EIS is only for native Panasonic lenses. I wonder if the

Happily ditched ZF for the Z5II
As you can see, when I bought the ZF I had also just received the S5ii + 20-60 and rented both an S5ii + 24-105 and a Z5ii + 24-200 to compare them. I loved the IBIS of the Panasonic, in my opinion significantly better (in photos I shot 1 second at 20mm without blur and in video, it looks like my iP

Help with Video
I must start with an unpleasant question - can you return it? A6700, S9, S5II and G9II are cheaper and much better as a hybrid camera. A7IV, A7CII and A7V are better again, but more expensive. Even the “lesser” OM3 is ironically marginally better due to the mode dial and custom modes. You may be thi

Is it stupid to go back to MFT?
I bought an S5ii and two lenses (sigma 45 f2.8 and the Panasonic 16-35 s f4) I’m debating stranding them on mkb since none of the lenses really can deliver on the look I can get from the 10-25 f1.7 with a G9ii. Yes, I can shoot a higher iso, but when working professionally, that is never an issue si
