Lumix mig be launching a 61MP camera(s1r2e?)
The bigger sensor means lower readout speed so - a bunch of the video features perhaps not being there? What would make sense is the s9r. There's already the sigma fp-l as a proof of concept. And with ibis would be my perfect camera.

On the hunt for DCI 2K in a 12bit wrapper
Yes you're right, but I'm mainly talking about modern movies. I 100% agree that 2k is enough, but you just won't find a lot of modern cameras that can do this in Raw whilst still offering s35 or larger. Again, sigma fp or bmcc og are your best bets. Maybe bmpcc og as well. I think going 4k and downs

How much do I need to spend before I can get a camera that will outperform my pixel 9 pro
No, you don't need to spend big money on a camera. The reason cine cameras like ARRIs cost tens of thousands of dollars: Niche market They are a small portion of the budget of a big Hollywood film. They are usually rented, often the studio/production company renting out to themselves (tax write-off,

At what point do/did you buy a cinema line camera?
Ergonomics and usability were big ones for me over raw specs as well. I started with a BMPCC 6K Pro and Sigma FP before ultimately settling on an FX3/A7IV combo. It is very hard to find two cameras with better image quality at their price points than the 6K Pro and FP. The FP was especially nuts giv

On the hunt for DCI 2K in a 12bit wrapper
You do realize that most movies shown in cinema are recorded in 4k+? If you want raw, it kinda has to use the full resolution or use line skipping. That's why the pyxis doesn't have 2k unless you crop. Look into the data rates of BRAW 8:1 or 12:1 and see if these are better. I think they are compara

og bmpcc, sony pmw-f3, or sigma fp?
I feel so lucky to own all three of them. Each has its own beauty and quirks, and I'm still trying to figure out the best situations and strengths to use each. Generally, small assignments on the sigma fp cdng 1080, for major projects on 4k and rigged out. Bmpcc og for travelling, everyday observati

Anybody here do anything creative? Art, music etc?
I fly FPV since around 2 years and as well had to learn how to edit. Started with GoPro's and last year I build my first cinelifter and now fly with a Sigma FP. I'm still learning a lot about color grading and still didn't find my style. Also started doing some photography with the same camera and e
