Lumix mig be launching a 61MP camera(s1r2e?)
The bigger sensor means lower readout speed so - a bunch of the video features perhaps not being there? What would make sense is the s9r. There's already the sigma fp-l as a proof of concept. And with ibis would be my perfect camera.

On the hunt for DCI 2K in a 12bit wrapper
Yes you're right, but I'm mainly talking about modern movies. I 100% agree that 2k is enough, but you just won't find a lot of modern cameras that can do this in Raw whilst still offering s35 or larger. Again, sigma fp or bmcc og are your best bets. Maybe bmpcc og as well. I think going 4k and downs

How much do I need to spend before I can get a camera that will outperform my pixel 9 pro
No, you don't need to spend big money on a camera. The reason cine cameras like ARRIs cost tens of thousands of dollars: Niche market They are a small portion of the budget of a big Hollywood film. They are usually rented, often the studio/production company renting out to themselves (tax write-off,

Shinobi II Technical Guide — Learn from the Experts
So, if Shinobi 2 is used with a camera without a Log output (e.g. Sigma FP shooting raw, a camera which actually has EL Zone built in), are you saying that EL Zone wouldn't even be available - this is one of the main features that attracts me to Shinobi 2? On the basis that you don't offer camera co

Shinobi II Technical Guide — Learn from the Experts
Thanks - the confusion appears to be your suggestion to use an alternative Log profile, as none exists on the Sigma fp. Additionally, for an external monitor to display correct exposure from the fp apparently requires the camera to be in its raw mode, which also results in not being able to record t

S9 Banding
Idk if the S9 has "detection" for this, but I went through this with the Sigma FP, also without a mechanical shutter. It was incredibly awful at detecting it, so for anything indoors I just set it to Shutter priority and kept it at 1/60 or 1/125 (for faster motion) and never had issues (Or whatever

At what point do/did you buy a cinema line camera?
Ergonomics and usability were big ones for me over raw specs as well. I started with a BMPCC 6K Pro and Sigma FP before ultimately settling on an FX3/A7IV combo. It is very hard to find two cameras with better image quality at their price points than the 6K Pro and FP. The FP was especially nuts giv

The TV industry finally concedes that the future may not be in 8K
265GB/hr I wish Red didn't have a patent on in-camera compression. My Sigma FP eats up that much storage in 10 minutes with CDNG

BMCC 2.5k
Oh, and another question about the 2.5k - are you able to monitor and easily nail focus with a clean nice 1080p monitor? Because the sigma fp for excample only gives me a pretty heavily compressed feed to hdmi.
