Why on Earth does ATV 4K not have an option for “Dolby Digital + Atmos”, and only offers “Dolby MAT 2.0 Atmos”, which does not work with HDMI ARC??

This is super annoying. Nobody but Apple AFAIK uses this weird obscure version of Atmos, and they aren’t very clear on it, nor was Sonos that Atmos would not work without HDMI eARC. I would imagine the number of HDMI 2.1 tv’s out there is insanely low compared to how many people have HDMI 2.0, even ...

Recently bought the Sony HT-A5000 on clearance at Costco for $299.97 and now I’m seeing the Sonos Arc going on clearance for $399.97 and Beam on sale for $299.99 in a nearby store as well.

Which would be the best value/option to pair with a Bravia 7?

No plans to add a sub or rears for now, but I ...

UB820 forces 2ch pcm after firmware update

I have my UB820 hooked up to my LG C1 with ARC connected to Sonos Beam Gen 2. I had multichannel PCM working perfectly for all non-Dolby content. After updating to the latest firmware on the UB820 it seems like no matter what settings I put on the TV or player it refuses to send anything other tha...

Even if audiophiles dislike Bose, what do they like about the brand at all?

Agree that Sonos Beam sounds better than the comparable Bose soundbar. I had both for a while and was doing A/B comparisons. The Bose soundbar had slightly better low end extension (think fighter jet scenes in top gun) and better dialogue clarity, but at the expense of musicality. Sonos Beam on the ...

Sonos ARC Ultra ( standalone ) vs HW-990F

Sonos ARC Ultra standalone vs HW-Q990F ? Almost the same price, unfortunately, I live in an apartment ( concrete wall ) , and I am a bit afraid of noise from subwoofer, but I heard that ARC Ultra has some good bass ,and maybe it would be enough. Not sure if I can even utilize 990F in my flat. Of cou...
