How much camera do you really need for the AT? This is Virginia, as shot on Sony a6400 vs Sony a7Rii.
I threw this together for all the people who ask what kind of camera to buy. I carried a Sony a6400 with a basic 16-50mm lens when I hiked the AT in 2022. I went back to some of the same areas this summer with my Sony a7Rii and 24-70GM. The difference between these two setups is enormous - the 24-70

Diwali Fireworks | Sony A6400 | Sigma 23mm f1.4
Got this lens before Diwali & to get some experience with a new lens, I shot these photos from our terrace. Sigma 23mm can take some good shots in indoor lighting as well. Just remember to set your metering mode properly.
EXIF:
Aperture: f1.6
ISO: 4000-6000
Shutter Speed: 1/40

My favorite shots from Sicily pt. 2
After the positive replies on my first post, I decided to make another selection of my favorite photo’s taken in Sicily.
I love taking photo’s with my Sony A6400 and mostly do this during my holiday trips.
Hopefully in the future I can find a way to make it more professional.

ITAP of a lavender field at night
This is a composite shot on my Sony a6400 and the Sigma 10-18mm f/2.8 lens, used at the widest aperture and shortest focal length. I shot the foreground and sky separately. The former is a single 10" exposure at ISO4000, with a bit of light painting using my phone's torchlight. The starry sky is a s

APS-C has enlightened me as a former full-frame user.
TL;DR: I used to shoot with a Canon EOS R (full-frame) but switched to a Sony a6400 (APS-C) after a few years without a camera. Initially, I worried about missing full-frame benefits like better noise handling and bokeh, but I quickly adapted. The a6400’s light weight surprised me, and despite some

RAW vs edited photos storage
I'm using Immich for quite a long time, and it replaced my Google Photos from day one. However, I have a use case that is not covered by Immich nor Google Photos nor any other service I know.
I have a Sony a6400 and I also shoot film sometimes. I call these as my "Pro" photos, not because I'm a pr

Just got a mate 40 pro
I used to have one with harmonyOS 1 back in 2021. Sold it for a sony a6400, then sold my a6400 in 2021 to buy an a7R III. I loved the experience so much that I bought another one for this 2024 christmas. Since I already have a camera I do not care much about the old mate 40 pro image processing. Bu
