Do no expect EVF, flash or weather sealing anytime soon
I estimate it wouldn’t sell. At given Ricoh pricing, they would have to compete with the Sony A7c II and A6700 and some Fujis, the Sonys have way better AF and an arsenal of lenses to choose from. As product managers use to say:”Never listen to enthusiasts if you don’t wanna go broke”.😎

OM-3 or A6700 for travel?
Between OM-3 and A6700 for mounting on a backpack strap, I would pick OM-3 due to weather sealing and smaller lens set. But if I knew I would carry my camera mounted on a backpack strap and I would not need an EVF, then I would pick an Olympus E-P7 with Oly 14-42mm EZ or Pana 12-35 for day/outdoors

Beginner dad: What’s the best hybrid camera hybrid (S9 vs other options) for my situation?
I use my camera almost exclusively for family life. 10 bit video, reliable human tracking and good stabilization are the main things to look for in a hybrid dad cam. I wouldn’t recommend an OM-5 or GX9 for your use, because they both lack 2 out of the 3 things I mentioned above. I’ve owned an E-M10

APS-C for macro?
I'll start this off by clarifying I only have experience with Sony & Olympus / OM systems. I've tried to use the Sony A6700 and the Sony 90mm for handheld insect macro photography and eventually gave up. The sensor readout time and buffer were too slow for my style of photography. I ended up going w

Best lightweight setup ever
I can be a massive jerk being 100% serious, so let's go. 7CR/7CII is lighter than the A6700, has better battery life, better resolution (R has MUCH better resolution), and better low light sensitivity. The idiot actually bought APS-C lenses 🤭 silly head, you buy full frame lens for when you grow up

Received my a6700 and kit lens. More than a little annoyed.
You should get pissed. These ridiculous pieces of plastic costs like $12-15 where I live. They should be packed separately and the lens should come capped. PS: Heheh, if you think the Sony a6700 is tiny, go look up the Sony Nex 3 and Sony ZV-1 on YouTube.

Started photography in Jan 2025, bought way too much gear, now I'm thinking of downsizing
Before I used to have the Sony A6700 with lots of lenses, I hated to switch lenses during trips or doubting what lens(es) I had to take with me. I downsiZed to a ZF with two lenses in my preferred focal length 40mm. One has autofocus and one is manual. I use the manual for slow paced stuff. I use th

Camera suggestion under 1 lakh
Sony A6700 or zev10ii Canon r10/r50 Nikon z50ii As a professional in my opinion, if you have no experience you should go for a second hand fullframe camera. Cause you get all the features you want for the near future with out any compromises. You are set for atleast 3-5yrs. After a point you will on

Can Sony Ever Feel Like Fuji?
I was debating between the Sony a6700 and Fuji X-e5 for months, that's why I followed this sub. I noticed a difference in photos being shared on reddit and facebook groups by people using those cameras. I don't know why but the photos shared by Fuji users are more interesting and more relatable. I t

Sony a6700 with 55-210mm f4.5 - 6.3?
I second this for the r7 (no, I don't shoot canon lol). It's so feature rich and built for wildlife. Apsc, 33mp (don't see a lot of those), 15fps. Canon is a good ecosystem for wildlife, lots of lens choices (I kinda regretted going sony for this reason, but with apsc the 70 350 is great). The r7 is
