So I made the switch from Sony apsc and now ended up here in Fuji land (a6700 to canon r7 to the xt5). I get the Sony not being fun, it felt very rinse and repeat, ending up with a shit ton of photos that I didn’t know what to do with (mostly repeats). 100% shooting to shoot rather than being a phot

That's quite impressive. I'm picking up an a6700 this week and one of the gripes is that it overheats very quickly when recording 4k.

Video is where your expectations will get ruined. You need a very good camera to compete with a phone for autofocus, auto exposure, scene recognition, etc. I tell people to not even bother unless one of the following applies. You’re willing to learn a LOT. The vast majority won’t do this FYI. Video

More compact bodies like the Lumix S9, Sony a6700, etc. With or without a viewfinder. R50V is the closest we have right now but I don't need the video focused aspects of it. A model or two focused on photography first instead of trying to be a hybrid camera. I mean really focused on photography. Lik

Between OM-3 and A6700 for mounting on a backpack strap, I would pick OM-3 due to weather sealing and smaller lens set. But if I knew I would carry my camera mounted on a backpack strap and I would not need an EVF, then I would pick an Olympus E-P7 with Oly 14-42mm EZ or Pana 12-35 for day/outdoors

Great for beginners, a1, first letter first number. You want to stay away from the a6700, a way more advanced camera, the numbers don’t lie.

I am using the Sony a6700 with 70-350mm lens. This is not a full-frame setup, so my images aren't as high-res, but I chose it for how lightweight and easy to carry it is. Most professionals(which I am not) use full-frame for the highest detail possible, but that type of equipment is a bit heavier an

tbh - i don’t believe anyone here is going to point you in any direction. You’re asking far too much and probably won’t be happy with what you get anyway. Pick an entry level Sony cam like an a6700 and learn to shoot first.
