SL2 or A7RIV?

The Sony colour issues are a myth. That was from the a7 and a7ii era. There's no Leica colour or look either. It's all about the lens rendering. A skilled editor can make X look like Y in terms of colour. If you want to use the Leica APO lenses, get the SL. Otherwise the a7riv and GM primes are a gr

Is this an accurate representation of the difference in color science between Canon's and Sony's newest camera bodies? (Images 2-5 were taken with my Canon R8. Context below)

So a lot of folks have talked about color science not being a "thing" or that you can always fix the colors in post. This may be a hot take for this sub but I have switched systems multiple times because of color science and it absolutely makes a difference. When you're shooting people and the color

Would you recommend Sony Alpha A7II for Real Estate Photography? What lenses to use?

I disagree. The Sony Alpha A7II shoots bracket photos, has 24 MP and is full-frame. It'll work great with the right lens. No 4K video, but that's not what OP asked.

Second hand A7 II for $584. Good camera for a beginner?

If you alreayd bought it, it's totally fine for a beginner. You really don't need full-frame though. An APSC camera like the Sony a6400 will be newer and you'll have access to a lot more lenses at a cheaper price. When I decided I wanted a full frame camera, I really wanted the Sony A7III but it's d

Does the "M Purist" identity even exist in 2026?

For many M Purists the change comes with increasing age and decreasing eyesight. In my own case, developing cataracts and experiencing corneal damage following a fall caused me to reevaluate my photography. My M9 has stayed on the shelf while I have continued shooting with a Sony A7ii, a Sony RX100i

The goddess Juno at MOBOT in infrared, with an aerochrome simulation to brighten up a dreary day.

Thank you for detailed response! I have a Sony A7II that I've converted to full spectrum but I've mostly just messed around with an 850nm filter (I love the black skies with the white clouds popping out against them lol). I'm going to have to try out some of those other filters. Also thanks for the

I just ordered this for my first camera, did I miss anything or buy anything unnecessary?

The A7III's upgrades over the A7II are worth it in my opinion, but that aside, everything looks reasonable. If it were me, the one thing I'd ditch is the very obvious Sony-branded camera bag. That just screams: I am a tourist, please rob me. Also, not sure what the Meike adapter is for?
