S1Mii body drop to $2356 during the june Promotional Campaign-but still to expensive compare to its competitors

Too expensive. Are you really checked all prices of Canon C50, R6III, Sony A7V?

The Sony A7 V is on the horizon! What are your final feature predictions?

I have 2 Sony A7IV s I don’t see any feature that will make me want to get an A7V. If I want to upgrade for video I’ll go with the FX3 If I want better AF for action, I’ll get the A9III If I want more pixels, A7RV

It's a good time to be in the Lumix ecosystem.

i'm a sony user and also really don't understand all the hype around the a7v. In my opinion it's overpriced for what you get and what the competition is offering. But sony fanboys will tear you up if you write something about the a7v not being the best camera there is in this price range

Help me decide on new camera for portrait and wedding photography - Nikon Z5ii or Sony A7iv

Sony A7IV is 4 years old. Nikon Z5ii is less than a year old. That’s a big factor. For example, do you really want 4 year old displays and IBIS units? Sony A7V doesn’t exist (although it’s obviously coming eventually). But it will definitely cost way more than a Z5ii, which is one of the best bargai

Z6iii in a A7V World

The A7V looks extremely overpriced for anyone not already heavily entrenched in the Sony system. You can buy a used/refurb Z8 for a similar price (less, actually, if you go used), and from a feature/performance standpoint, the Z8 directly competes with the A1II which at the moment costs $3,500 USD m

FX3 or R6V

Thank you so much! The fx3 felt like way more than I needed and I did want to be able to do sports photos occasionally and I think this canon allows for it with its shutter speed and ability to take continuous shots? I was looking at the Sony a6700 but was very worried about overheating and wondered

How to stop G.A.S.?

Until last year my only digital camera was a Sony A6000. It was my first camera, and I've had it for almost 6 years now. My philosophy is that if it's not broken, I don't need a new one. My camera is at least 10 years old, maybe more, but for what I do as a hobbyist it's still more than enough. Why

Official Question Thread! Ask /r/photography anything you want to know! April 24, 2026

My issue with the sony is the rolling shutter for video, I hear that its VERY BAD (though I don’t know myself), would that be a big problem in terms of videography or? Also yes I do know but i’m aiming to do professional concert photography, I have some friends that can hook me up and get me started

S1Mii body drop to $2356 during the june Promotional Campaign-but still to expensive compare to its competitors

For reference, the same price could buy a brand-new Sony a7V or Canon R6 III, or a pre-owned Sony a1 or Nikon Z8. With Sony's price drop and a general decline in camera prices, almost no one will be buying Panasonic anymore. The combined sales of the S1II, S1RII, and S1II remain lower than the sales

Need 4 cameras to record a Multi-Camera Event. Suggestions?

Lumix S5ii. I know you want to stay Sony but that A74 will overheat, it happened to me. You can buy two of them for the price of the A7V and they are bulletproof! You can get XLR adapters if you’re doing the audio yourself. Luts you use in SLOG actually work very well on Vlog also.
