Thanks mate, Yes I’m not sure if it’s the bigger pixels of the a7cii or Sony in general but these files behave nicely when pushed in post.

Personally, for your use-case, I suggest getting the Sony 40mm f2.5G or the Viltrox 35mm f1.8 EVO. I had preordered the L10 but ultimately canceled because I don't want a zoom lens that extends and retracts focal lengths with a motor. I have both FF and m43 gear and similarly shoot a toddler indoors

I think we would go xavc hs 4k - h.265 to just to be conscious on file size but keep it high enough quality. Shooting on 2x Sony a7v and a a7cii (same/ closest sensor) but little body for vlog style shots and gimbal work. So easiest to grade together after.

Sure if you only shoot BW I guess a monochrome sensor would be better but carrying two cameras just to get one (1!) stop better performance is in my opinion crazy. marketing, always has been. there's a reason why sony's a1 ii is 50mp, nikon's z9 is 45mp, and canon's r1 is 24mp. and there's a reason my a7c ii only has 33mp but still effortlessly beats every single 200mp smartphone
