More affordable alternatives to M11-P / Leica & 28mm f/2 for street photography

Long shot but anyone interested in trading an X2D for my Sony system?
I traded my a7cr + lenses to get into MF with an x2d2. Looking at your lenses, what you might miss is the long lens choices. And possibly the size. Carrying around an X2D with 35-100 is a lot bigger package than the Sony with a 24-70. The longest current lens is 135, similar size to the 35-100, but

Haaa. FWIW I AF my M lenses on Sony and Nikon with the techart adapters. Works better with some lenses than others but it’s generally great. Nocti 35mm / A7CR combo works so well I let my Q343 go last week.

Leica Q family is complete
I love the lenses; the simplicity of the menu system; the dials; that it is weather sealed; the size and weight. Everything about the camera is perfect IMHO. I sold my Ricoh GR iii, my Sony Alpha 1, and my Sony A7CR (and a boatload of lenses) because I found I was always reaching for my Leicas.

Joined the club! From Sony to Nikon
I have both a Sony and a Nikon Z camera. I am very much attached to both, and am therefore keeping them though it wasn’t the smartest move (economically speaking) for an enthusiast like me to invest in 2 different brands… (long story how I ended up there, but in short, I can relate to the feeling yo

More affordable alternatives to M11-P / Leica & 28mm f/2 for street photography
In order of most expensive to least expensive: Hasselblad X2D/X2DII and 38v (roughly 30mm equivalent) Leica Q series Sony A7CR and any number of great lenses. Probably the most rational recommendation. Suggest renting whatever you are leaning towards first. You may be surprised at what you actually

Is there a good reason to choose Leica SL3 over other brands?
For people who buy this system, I think it comes down to lenses. I haven't shot them, but the APO lenses are highly praised although expensive as shit and large. If you don't have the sort of budget that extends to Leica's APO glass, personally I don't see any point getting the camera. I have bought

It depends on the camera. Recent models have thinner glass on the sensor so the performance is better. The A7CR is faring better than my older Sonys for sure . I haven’t compared the CR to my A1ii yet but given what I’ve researched it should be on par with the CR. Also overall it seems to be more pr

OM-3 vs A7CII as a carry-everywhere dog walking camera, anyone made the same call?
I have an om3 and a7cr same body and features as a7cii. Both are weather sealed so that is not an issue. The Sony af is better except for birds where the om I find better for BIF. It has auto subject detection. Better grip. Compact primes are about the same size. Zooms and tele are not. Video will b

Looking for an edc
Leica equipment isn’t “nothing special” as many people will parrot. It is however high on the list of diminishing returns. If you have a tonne of disposable income and want some of the best image quality in a small package, Leica is a great choice. But if you’re posting on social media - don’t bothe
