Is M43 Really That Rare? (Discussion)

There are a number of factors involved here but you can start with (I'll preface this with the fact I use both OM-1 & OM-3 and also the Sony A7r5 and A7Cii, and Nikon before that, however it's the OM-3 for me 95% of the time and I'm selling the A7r5 in the Summer). I will also mention that since I n

Sony Fanboy Looking at Fuji

Hey there, just released a YouTube about the 33 1.4 and I use an xt3. I own an xt3 and an A7RV, and agree with you, the sony is too plasticy and technical to be much fun... The fuji is way more fun Strong opinion - the xt3 is a great camera! Strong points - Great build quality Takes wonderful pictur

Not sure how people get those insane star shots, but this is my best yet, Big Sandy River, Wyoming

Shooting on a Sony A7r5 so definitely a real camera. Though I had more success doing this on my Nikon. I think what I need to do is try photo stacking since I'm not really intersted in getting a star tracker.

I have the money for a full frame camera for the first time since having kids. I start looking at the Z5ii and R10 and then the lenses and realize I don't want to spend almost $4,000 on a camera and lens. Does anyone also feel fine with M43 but get scared away with prices on FF?

Excellent summation. I also use both Sony (A7r5) and OM (OM1 & OM3) and 95% of the time I pick up the cameras in the order = OM3, OM1, A7r5, A6000 (IR). People need to consider what they use their photos for (social media, forums, family, small prints (under say 100cms x 80cms) etc. even entering co

Ouch there definitely is some people who dont like m43😅

Marketing sheep/influencers think you should have an A7R V as a minimum these days and anything but Sony (and maybe Canon) is crap and tou might as well not bother because their "iPhone takes better pictures than that crap!" Yes I've been on the receiving end of that argument a whole bunch... Includ

In your experience, what are the most reliable mirrorless cameras your photographers have used on set?

I used a Sony a7r5 for the last 3 years photos were good but weird camera to use and digi techs hated them. Never saw or heard of Sony on set here in NYC, with their prices better off Nikon or canon with less quirks

Sony A7C vs a6700 -- is it worth the extra money?

Yes I agree with NinjaMonkey above. When relatively new photographers ask me what to buy I always tell them to look at the lenses FIRST. Which brand mount has everything they want now, everything they can imagine buying, how heavy are they, do they have WR (if required) and do those lenses fit into

Wait Nikon z7iii or take Sony A7R V

I had an A7R4 and A7R5. I can’t stand Sony compared to Nikon. The Z7ii is still an excellent option for pure landscape, and I’d rather get a used GFX (and did for a bit) than shoot Sony.

Thinking of switching… would I regret it? 🤔

I sold my X-T5 and Fuji lenses and moved to Nikon like many others in this thread. But it wasn't straight-forward. I tried the Zf and wanted to love it, but hated the ergos. It is an entirely different feel from the X-T5 - significantly larger, heavier, and less grippy, even with an add-on grip. The

X2Dii for A7VI

I'm looking at my A7RV right now and contemplating selling it to pick up a second X2D body and/or a Leica SL2. I don't like how Sony gear handles color and sharpness. A minor boost in resolution isn't going to fix that. If you color grade your images, like how a wedding photographer puts a golden wa
