Is M43 Really That Rare? (Discussion)

There are a number of factors involved here but you can start with (I'll preface this with the fact I use both OM-1 & OM-3 and also the Sony A7r5 and A7Cii, and Nikon before that, however it's the OM-3 for me 95% of the time and I'm selling the A7r5 in the Summer). I will also mention that since I n

Sony Fanboy Looking at Fuji

Hey there, just released a YouTube about the 33 1.4 and I use an xt3. I own an xt3 and an A7RV, and agree with you, the sony is too plasticy and technical to be much fun... The fuji is way more fun Strong opinion - the xt3 is a great camera! Strong points - Great build quality Takes wonderful pictur

Nikon DSLR too heavy for travel – switching to G90 vs G9, which would you pick?

You can get the superb Olympus EM-1ii for less than the G9 or the even better EM1iii for slightly more. The PL 12-60 will still work well on them if you want it though the Oly 12-45/4 is a fabulous all rounder. I use the 12-40/2.8 v1 which is a superb lens and can be considered if the fixed f2.8 is

[Digital Camera World] The new Sony A7R VI has the highest resolution fully stacked sensor yet (67 MP) – but that’s not even the biggest change

It’s faster than a7rv which was insanely slow…But not exactly fast. I doubt any pro sport shooter will use this when other options exist. https://m.dpreview.com/articles/0909713709/no-the-sony-a7r-vi-isn-t-a-cut-price-a1-ii

Not sure how people get those insane star shots, but this is my best yet, Big Sandy River, Wyoming

Shooting on a Sony A7r5 so definitely a real camera. Though I had more success doing this on my Nikon. I think what I need to do is try photo stacking since I'm not really intersted in getting a star tracker.

I have the money for a full frame camera for the first time since having kids. I start looking at the Z5ii and R10 and then the lenses and realize I don't want to spend almost $4,000 on a camera and lens. Does anyone also feel fine with M43 but get scared away with prices on FF?

Excellent summation. I also use both Sony (A7r5) and OM (OM1 & OM3) and 95% of the time I pick up the cameras in the order = OM3, OM1, A7r5, A6000 (IR). People need to consider what they use their photos for (social media, forums, family, small prints (under say 100cms x 80cms) etc. even entering co

Please Nikon make a Z7 III

which 61MP sensor? the Sony sensor in the A7Rv is insanely slow and would never satisfy anyone buying a high end Nikon.

Ouch there definitely is some people who dont like m43😅

Marketing sheep/influencers think you should have an A7R V as a minimum these days and anything but Sony (and maybe Canon) is crap and tou might as well not bother because their "iPhone takes better pictures than that crap!" Yes I've been on the receiving end of that argument a whole bunch... Includ

Would you stick with MFTeven if you got enough money to get a high end FF kit?

I have 4 of your 'ideal M43 kit' and the 40-150/2.8 which is very bit as good as the 50-200 (check the head to head testing), the 17mm I don't need (as I love and prefer my favourite lens - the OM 20/1.4 Pro). That just leaves the 150-600 on your list ... and I'd take the 150-400 over that every day
