What improved your quality of life so much, you wish you did it sooner?
My family uses pre-owned Steelcase Leap & Amia chairs bought off Facebook Marketplace or put out to trash by local businesses (businesses throw out so much stuff for shinier new things). They've been more comfortable and held up better than whatever office chairs we had been buying from Staples or O

Desk chair recs for petite women
I am 5'0 as well and use a Steelcase Amia. I bought it specifically because it lets me sit cross-legged on it. (As an aside, I found out that I sit cross legged because I have never had a desk that sat low enough for me to put my chair close enough to the ground that I can have my feet flat on the f

desk chair recs for petite women? (specifically for criss-cross sitters!)
I'm 5' 0” and am also a criss cross sitter. I have a SteelCase Amia and it's the best thing I've ever owned. The arms articulate enough that I can sit normally just as comfortably as I can shrimp in it. Super flexible and the seat cushion being nearly flat means no pinch points on my legs when sitti

WFH folks, is a $1,000 chair really worth it?
I also used this site for a B-grade chair. It came with a gash on the underside of the arm that wasn’t mentioned or photographed, but it didn’t impact me at all. Love the chair I got, steelcase amia.

Too short for office chairs- back can't touch the backrest of the chair.
It’s a steelcase amia! The chair lowers way more than my last one AND the seat pan is shorter

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie?
Steelcase Office chairs. I had one for the 80s that finally gave out around 2010. It was the second most comfortable, well built chairs I have ever sat in. The best is the Steelcase Amia chair I've had for the last 10+ years. Super expensive new. ProTip: Save yourself the price of the brand new chai

How a Chair Exposed the Worst YouTubers
They have a Frankenstein of a chair called Lamia, a Steelcase Leap with a Steelcase Amia seat instead of the Leap seat, but that's it and some of the Btod guys say it is better than the regular Leap, I don't know If that can be taken without a grain of salt.

Good desk chair?
Yeah, I really balked at spending a thousand dollars on a chair, but I spend 12 hours a day sitting in it, and it really did make more of a difference than I expected. I bought a steelcase amia at home, and my work paid for a steelcase leap at the office. If you're near a major city, check online fo

I have the SE and the Pro. You can ask me specific questions.
Hi there, did they send you a maxis? I had the original Omni in green for about two weeks. I loved everything about it, EXCEPT for the seat. It was too shallow and ran very hot. I switched to the steelcase Amia, and now I’m in the leap v2, with Crandall upgraded fabric. I love it, but I miss the Omn
