Is there a dash cam to fit all my needs?
If parking mode is your main priority, I’d honestly look at Thinkware first. A lot of cams really just save from the impact onward, but Thinkware’s radar parking mode can pick up motion before the actual hit, which is way more useful if you care about real evidence. And since you said you want more

Advice for front rear dashcam, low power, use mostly in parking mode
Take a look at the Thinkware ARC 900. I bought one recently mainly because of the radar parking mode. I don’t drive that much, so low power draw mattered a lot to me, and that was a big reason I went with it. If parking mode is your main priority, it’s definitely one you’d put on the list.

Parking mode
I use both a Thinkware U3000 Pro and ARC 900, and I bought both mainly for parking mode. They do have motion based parking features, but I would not expect them to monitor 20 to 30 meters out the way you want. For that, you’re probably getting into actual surveillance camera territory. But if you wa

Dash cam recommendations
I’m on a Thinkware ARC 900 and it hasn’t messed with Android Auto for me at all. That was something I was worried about too. Parking mode has been great though, so I’d definitely put it on your list.

Suggestions on a dash cam?
I’m on the Thinkware ARC 900 and honestly I’d recommend it. It’s been super solid for me so far. What I like most is that it just feels reliable and not like something I have to babysit all the time. Parking mode is also a big plus if your truck ever sits for long stretches.

Help me buy a dashcam
Recently put an ARC 900 in my wife’s car with the radar and LTE modules, and it’s been great so far. Parking mode was a huge reason I picked it, and battery draw mattered to me too (she only uses her car 1-2 days a week). Thinkware seems to use a lot less power than a lot of other cams, which was a

Recommendation for a rear-view dashcam for tinted windows
I use a Thinkware U3000 Pro and my wife’s car has an ARC 900 with the radar module. The nice part is the parking mode isn’t just impact based, it can detect motion and save what happened before the hit too. You can tweak sensitivity and there’s timelapse as well. I live in NYC and street park, so pa

Parking mode power draw for a light driver / impact sensitivity?
My situation’s actually pretty close to yours. I run a Thinkware U3000 Pro and my wife’s on an ARC 900. Her car sits around a lot, maybe gets driven 2 or 3 days a week for a few hours at a time, and we haven’t had any real battery problems. The nice part is the radar parking mode is really good, and

Dashcam recommendations? need it to record when parked
Using Thinkware U3000 Pro and ARC 900. For parking mode I’d seriously look at Thinkware. That’s kind of where they shine. Radar mode In particular can detect motion, not just impacts, and the timelapse option is great if you want more continuous footage while parked. For your kind of use case, I’d d
