Best Dashcam to Buy in 2026? (Price, Video Quality, Everyday Use)
Thinkware q200 2CH is a low cost reliable 2k dash cam. Enough to show who had the green light, works well enough at night. BlackVue Elite 9 2CH is a high cost reliable 4k dash cam. Better picture esp. at night, better cloud features, support for larger SD cards. Lots of great option from both Blackv

What dashcam do you recommend and how hard was the installation? 11th gen
I have the thinkware q200 so I can only speak on that. Has parking mode and night vision. Have to hardwire it for parking mode. It works well for sure but the app can be very slow and buggy at times. I only needed to pop off the a pillar and was able to tuck the rest for a front and back camera. I s

Help! CarPlay + Cams
Thinkware q200 with ODB2 power cable would be a starting point. Their U3000 has higher resolution and much better night vision, and is a good choice.

Suggestion for no screen, good night time records and 2 channels DashCam?
F200 is long discontinued. Thinkware q200 is the starting point for decent night vision, but it's not as good as the U3000 which is out of your budget range 770x plus is the minimum viable Blackvue, and the 970x plus has much better night vision.

Looking for dashcam
You can get a clearance Blackvue front only from Visions or BlackboxMyCar, or a front only Thinkware Q200 in your budget. For closer to $200 you can get a Thinkware Q200 front and rear. Cheaper Thinkware models have poor night vision, and other brands like Viofo struggle with the cold and get minima

What’s your dash cam and why do you like it?
Reviews had a lot of complaints about smart phone connectivity issues, but I have experienced none of that. So far it has worked exactly as advertised with no issues at all. Most confuse phone security and connection issues with dash cam app issues. There are also a few different Thinkware apps and

Dashcam recommendations
Thinkware is one of the few that gets any support in Canada, is available everywhere, and it's also the one with the best heat while doing well in the cold. Thinkware Q200 will hit your budget, and is as low as I'd go in the line due to night vision, but lots of models above. You will see Viofo reco

Decent dashcam recommendations (front and back cameras)
Thinkware q200 is a decent starting point, but higher models get better night vision, additional features, or larger SD card support. 128GB is as low as I'd go, 256GB will get you 14+ hours, more if you are using a parking mode.

Garmin x210
Both the 210x and 310x have a battery instead of a capacitor to handle shut down power, so most will avoid. That battery, and similar design and component choices, mean they tend to only last a year or two. Unfortunately pricing doesn't reflect that. Night and inclement weather performance is also p
