I need a dashcam with cabin view that will activate when the car is off.
Pretty much anything with an interior camera and hardwired with parking mode capabilities will do. Most hardwire kits have battery cutoffs that stop drawing power at a certain voltage Edit: the thinkware Q200 IR, Vantrue 2X, Viofo A329S 2Ch IR are good options if you don’t care about a rear camera,

What dashcam do you recommend and how hard was the installation? 11th gen
I have the thinkware q200 so I can only speak on that. Has parking mode and night vision. Have to hardwire it for parking mode. It works well for sure but the app can be very slow and buggy at times. I only needed to pop off the a pillar and was able to tuck the rest for a front and back camera. I s

Dashcam recommendation florida
Thinkware cams are great in the heat, and have great parking mode options including radar on some models. Avoid anything under the q200.

Need to decipher this plate (Hit and Run)
Have you installed a dash cam yet? If you’re looking into recommendations Linus Tech tips on YouTube tested 23 of the major brands. Only two brands actually work as intended and that’s THINKWARE (you might want this brand as they have the best parking mode with sensors and built in super capacitor w

Dash cams?
I installed the Thinkware Q200 front and rear dashcam myself. It was pretty simple to do running the wire under the trim.I didn't want a rear screen on the front facing camera. It's pretty sleek, overall, and I can't see it from the drivers POV. I also used an ODB-II adapter for parking mode. There'

Decent dashcam recommendations (front and back cameras)
Thinkware q200 is a decent starting point, but higher models get better night vision, additional features, or larger SD card support. 128GB is as low as I'd go, 256GB will get you 14+ hours, more if you are using a parking mode.

Looking for advice on picking my first dashcam
Do I really need front and rear cameras, or is front enough? Front will show who had the green light. Rear will show if you cut someone off. How important is night vision for everyday driving? It's only important if you drive at night or poor weather. How important is motion detection for everyday d

good dash cam?
Thinkware's parking mode is much better and more energy efficient than Viofo's parking mode. I'm on the Thinkware bandwagon. The Q200 is decent. I'd go for the Q850 or higher if you wanted a noticable jump in night video quality.

Dashcam recommendations and explanation of how they work?
Get a Thinkware Q200 and an ODB2 power cable. It will use the car's battery to record for a few hours when parked. You connect via Wi-Fi to set it up or get video from it. It records to an SD card. When the vehicle is on it records everything. You have a few choices on what it does when parked; runn

Looking for a front and rear cam
Thinkware Q200 with an ODB2 kit is easy to install, reliable, and lets you record for a while when parked so you can see if they're lingering around the vehicle when you leave.
