Thinkware q200 2CH is a low cost reliable 2k dash cam. Enough to show who had the green light, works well enough at night. BlackVue Elite 9 2CH is a high cost reliable 4k dash cam. There a several good options. I use the Thinkware Q200. Performance is good and you can power it from the Homelink Rearview Mirror with an adapter from MX5Things.

I always recommend the newest thinkware. I use one in my 2015 leaf using fuse taps and it works perfectly. Expect to invest $150-$200 or so. I use the Q200.

Is this a good dash cam? Nope. Unreliable junk. They pay for Amazon placement and fake reviews. I just want something cheaper and reliable. This isn't that. Look for a Thinkware Q200 for a reliable entry model, or a Viofo if you're in the US and will babysit it monthly.

Thinkware Q200 fits your budget and Blackvue Elite 9 fits your desired specs. Cams claiming to do both tend to lie about specs and/or be unreliable trash.

I have a thinkware q200 in my daily and my old FA200a in my truck. They were both $200 when new, and they both get the job done. The app is a bit clunky and slow, but it works. Ive been happy enough with them to keep them installed, but I havent had to use them in an accident yet

i highly recommend Thinkware’s Q200 front and rear. $170 a most any box store. easy install. Thinkware is known for being able to handle hot summers well. r/dashcams is a great resource.

Thinkware cams are great in the heat, and have great parking mode options including radar on some models. Avoid anything under the q200.
