Deco XE70 Pro

I just deployed Deco xe70 pros at my house, and they are such an upgrade in terms of ease-of-use and performance from my ancient Orbi setup. My big gripe is that they have no capability for local-only admin when hooked to the modem in router mode so you always have a hole open for remote management.

You only change the Deco to AP mode if you have another router in front of it to do the actual routing and firewall leave it in router mode if you don’t have another router in front of it. I just upgraded to a xe70 today from an existing deco based system and my existing forwarding rule no longer works. Server checks out inside the network and no changes to the modem. Given your post, I'm wondering about a recent firmware issue
