Walmart still has an Amplifi system for sale.
The Amplifi line from Ubiquiti is actually a good reliable WiFi and Mesh system for the average home user. I had two of the Amplifi Aliens and they were great devices very good WiFi coverage and easy to setup. I never had any issues out of them.

Dream Router 5G Max - disappointment
Almost positive you never had the AMPLIFI Alien or even seen one in person. It’s FAR from cheap build! I’m thrilled with the Dream Router 5G Max design as the mini Dream router 7 screen is a major disappointment. I have the Alien and the UI is brilliant with relevant information. I was upset when my

Amplifi Alien stopped broadcasting Wi-Fi signal
Unfortunately, the individual radios last a few years then just die out of nowhere. Since the reboot didn't fix the issue, you'll likely need a new router. eBay has a few new Amplifi Aliens. UniFi sells the Dream Router 5G Max which looks a lot like the Amplifi Alien, with newer technology, but wors

Good cheap-ish routers for Macs
I personally like my UniFi setup. It is not an all in one like an AirPort Extreme though. Amplifi Alien is the same brand as UniFi but has HomeKit Secure support if you only need one router to cover your house. TP Link makes some HomeKit routers. It just depends on what you want it to do.

On the iOS26 beta, and HomeKit now shows how long a device has been “No Response.”
I've had my fair share of No Response issues within HomeKit and it mostly started when I got a a tp-link Deco router. (my first WiFi6 router) A lot of my devices did not like how the router managed the WiFi 6 standard especially on 2.4GHx band (if you turned that off and went with the older WiFi sta

Worth investing on gaming monitor/mouse/keyboard to play on GeForceNOW?
Thanks! My Wi-Fi is pretty good since I upgraded to an AmpliFi Alien, it’s night and day difference. The thing is, I tried a ethernet, and for some reason, I get lower or very similar results to my Wi-Fi, and quite inconsistent which was surprising That’s another rabbit hole I’ll get into soon. Mayb

Good Routers
If you’ve got the funds for it I would totally recommend the Ubiquiti Amplifi Alien - it’s a really good WiFi 6 router. Bought it a few years ago after a recommendation from a friend, and it has given me dependable service with no major dramas. Also comes with a range extender (complete with Etherne

Nighthawk BE9300 is terrible
I've always had issues with nighthawk routers. Devices dropping out especially my most important ones like cameras randomly range issues. Been using Amplifi Alien routers for years. Main router and wired backhaul and they have been flawless. By far the best routers I've used. Hoping they release an

U7 Lite or U6+/Pro?
Just placed an order for the 7 lite and 7 LR. Hoping it will cover my 3275sq ft home, but for the cost I’ll buy a 2nd 7 lite if needed. Also upgrading to a UCG Max and SW-Lite-8. Was tempted to get two or three In wall 7’s for the extra ports but I think they wouldn’t be used short term and the cost

Just asking, is this one of those Black Friday "sale" or is actually a rare occurrence of a deal?
This is a fantastic direct replacement for the amplifi alien router. Its antennas reach the WiFi farther than the alien’s too.
