Not entirely clear on your Max thinking. Seems like you want the Express 7 at one end of the house and the U7 Pro at the other instead of just one device in the middle. I just ordered the Dream Router 7 + UniFi Express 7, which I will use as a whole house wireless mesh. If I need to add another AP I will, but hoping it has similar coverage as the Orbi RBR50 router + RBS50 satellite which it is replacing (+ EoL mid-June). Regardless, the Orbi's are quite old anyway.
