Is there a dummy-proof guide on how to add secondary WAN on a Cloud Gateway that does not have any additional remappable WAN/LAN ports?
Replace your UniFi Express 7 with a Cloud Gateway Fiber. There's much less hackery with getting secondary WAN support, and your UniFi Express 7 can be reused as an access point. Better yet - the 10Gbps SFP+ ports give you full speed connectivity from the UniFi Pro switch to the Gateway.

Ubiquiti has started adding "memory surcharge" drip pricing to all of their products, which is illegal in many countries
Ubiquiti is also charging VAT on this surcharge so looking at, e.g. UniFi Express 7 the store page lists it as 179,00 € (223,75 € VAT incl.), but once added to the cart that changes to 189,00 € (236,25 € VAT incl.) I'm pretty sure this is not legal in the EU.

Should I use the TP-Link BE550 or Unifi Express 7 as my primary router?
The problem is that in Brazil, Ubiquiti equipment is very expensive; I was hoping that just the Express 7 would be enough to cover the area of the house.

Express 7 fan woke me up
i've seen this before with the Express 7. that fan should not be running at full blast like that. check the logs in your controller for any errors around the times it happened. contact Ubiquiti support directly - they're usually good about RMAs for overheating units. while you wait, try pointing a s

Alternative Router Options
The new Unifi Cloud Gateway Fiber can support up to 10Gbps, with 5Gbps of thruput with full IDS/IPS. I believe it will be $250 (without SSD storage for the NVR system) once it's available. There is also the UniFi Express 7, but it does not get to 5Gbps with IDS/IPS and only 'supports' 300 connected

Is this a reasonable quote for a Ubiquiti home setup?
I run a tech consulting business, and this is insane man. I think he’s definitely overselling you and not fully aware of UniFi gear. $5k for home WiFi is ridiculous: that’s small (maybe even medium) business level with a custom server type money where I work (FL & Ohio). $2k for programming is exces

What would you do?
Give the EAP610 to the bedroom a try first, see if that fixes the issue. If not, then it could be an AP that is not functioning correctly. Either that or get another AP where the EAP610 is installed and see if it performs better. Yes, in a corner is not ideal but still should reach the bedroom. As f

Is this a reasonable quote for a Ubiquiti home setup?
Ummm…another problem I have with this quote: Why on earth would they spec a UniFi Express 7 when there’s already a Dream Machine Pro on the quote? You can’t even run more than one gateway on the same UniFi network (you need a cloud key or hosted controller and separate routers to pull off configs li
