So anyone seeing similar things from a UGREEN NAS without BitTorrent software installed or running on it?

I know this isn't the answer you want, but when the software running on a device is acting questionable, replace it. I've been running TrueNAS on my UGREEN NAS for almost a year. Zero issues.

Would these be suitable to setup a very beginners NAS?

You can get a proper NAS for your money, an all in one package if you like. Look for UGREEN NASync DXP4800 Plus or simmilar.

Feeling Defeated / DH2300

I defer to others that know best but everything I have read suggests that you want a better processor in a NAS than the 2300 contains if you want to use it for media streaming. The 2300 is meant more for storage, backups, and the like. That being said, others have made it work. Here is another threa

Help choosing a NAS device mostly used for family photos and videos

UGREEN has a decent app that will auto sync photos from your phone and computers and such however you want to configure it. For purely storage, the DH2300 or DH4300 Plus would be perfect. I find it hard to recommend Synology, because every choice they seem to be making regarding their NAS is just "T

Which OS for a “simple” and long-term homelab NAS on a UGREEN NASync DXP2800 (media + backups), after OpenMediaVault?

My thoughts exactly. I originally planned to install TrueNas on my Ugreen NAS before my purchase. However I decided to try out UgreenOS first. After a couple of days, I decided to keep it. It is simply very well designed and simply works. Also supports Docker so you can just about install any other

Kokią išorinę asmeninių duomenų saugyklą rekomenduotumėt?

Black friday paskutini pirkau UGREEN NAS, geras daiktas, jokiui nusiskundimu. Jei tikrai svarbus failai, naudok 3-2-1 taisykle. "3 total copies of your data, on 2 different media types, with 1 copy stored off-site"

Google Docs Replacement?

You should definitely check out Nextcloud with the Nextcloud Office (Collabora Online) or OnlyOffice integration. It’s the closest thing to a full Google Docs replacement that allows live mobile editing without the annoying download/upload dance. It handles the syncing in the background so it feels

Nvme cache: what’s the benefit?

Great question about NVMe cache! Let’s break down your points and clarify what’s true based on how NVMe caching works in UGREEN NASync systems. Faster Media/File Loading: True! NVMe cache (using M.2 NVMe SSDs) stores frequently accessed data, like media files or photos, on super-fast SSDs instead of

Is it time?

With the Netflix price hikes and everything turning shit lately (and new addiction for Ubiquiti products), I really wanted to start hosting my own stuff. I already have a pi 4 running pihole but wanted a new pi for plex/audiobook shelf. Modern pis are just as expensive as a regular PC! I remember bu
